Stuck fuel gauge for a 1993 civic ex coupe

so my 1993 civic ex coupe has a stuck fuel gague. it doesnt always get stuck but it is annoying. does any one know a good way to fix it?

it gets stuck when it indicates full it actually gets stuck above the F all the other gauges work perfectly i dont really want to replace the fuel bobber thingy

If you unplug the fuel sending unit below the rear seat and turn the key to ON(II), does the needle fall to E and stay there?

i will try that this weekend im at school so its hard for me to work on my car at all especially since my car is in a different state

I unhooked it and the fuel gauge dropped but then when I reconected it it went back up and stayed at the top
