Chris...with the experience I've had with powdercoating. I can only suggest you not get the frame powder coated...lineX or rhino line it...powder forms a hard like paint over the surface...its like hard icing on a cake....its not very flexible...and with the amount of flex and movement this frame is going to see I would steer clear and go the lineX or rhino lined route.

i think a liner material would possible hold up better to from chipping since it will be layed out and dragged also

Thanks for checkin in!

Im not sure that undercoating the frame is a good idea either since it will see the pavement a lot. May just go with paint. Its a ways off, so i have time to research.

Thanks for the input though guys

Seeing the pavement...make skid plates. Why would you wanna drag the frame? Not a good idea....3/8" skid plates at points the frame hits the pavement...otherwise your wasting time...

This truck is being built to drag. Thats what minitrucks are for. No skid plates. Its drag frame or nothing.

Hey mymmeryloss'

I think you are showing "Mad Skills" on Your Build. I have followed your thread for some time now and it keeps getting better as you go, just looking at the new frame and your mig work looks much improved. Keep up the GREAT work you are doing, and you still have time for all of this; http://www.google.com/#gs_rn=14&gs_ri=psy-ab&cp=11&gs_id=1s&xhr=t&q=mymmeryloss&es_nrs=true&pf=p&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&oq=mymmeryloss&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47008514,d.cGE&fp=6afd9f366d7e2627&biw=1600&bih=758

Chris, given that you've been into many types of cars, trucks, etc. I'm just wondering, have you ever been into bikes?

I raced and rode dirtbikes since i was about 5. Never really been into street bikes. My dad rode harleys his whole life but had a terrible wreck on one when i was in 8th grade. Swore i would never ride a streetbike after that. Buuut i really wanna build a bobber one of these years just for kicks.

And i also rode bmx and a lot of skateparks on a bike. Not sure what kind of bike u were talking about but i figured motorcycle since u have been talking about them a lot lol
