Vibrations from ls swap

Just picked up my eg hatch and it's got some crazy vibrations, from idle all the way to 2500ish rpms

It mellows out under certain conditions,
I have all rubber mounts, I'm used to my buddies h22 with innovative 75 duro an this vibrates ten times as bad

What can I start looking at ?

Not visibly ill have to get a better look today.. There's passenger/driver/rear right? And then the two low ones by the oil pan?

All the mounts look good, and the motor itself doesn't vibrate hardly...

I would guess that you just have very firm motor mounts made for racing applications if they are that bad.

Inspect your drive axles. Do you feel it more in the steering wheel or your seat?

So nothing really in the steering wheel?

If you are feeling it everywhere but the steering wheel you can mark axles off the list. Anything drive train related, you will feel in the steering.

Have you inspected the mount bolts to make sure its all tight?

I never thought about loose mount bolts,,, ill look at that

Yes. But I'd expect to know the difference between something banging against the floor and vibration.

You need to get under there and check stuff out. Not gonna get anywhere just listening to people on the internet :-)

Hit the bottom side of the exhaust and see how much travel it had or how much it moves and if anything touches. Shake the wheels down for movement... etc

yeah, i have to find a different floor jack, as mine wont fit under the car lol, but i can push down on the tail pipe with my foot, and it lessens the vibration a bit..

Yeah I'm going to investigate the exhaust next week.. Hopefully that will be it

Do you have a heat shield over the exhaust manifold? Those are known for vibrating a lot.
