I had a guy follow me into a parking lot and threaten to beat me up because I went into the closest lane and then signaled over.

LOL. Unless you cut him off and forced him to brake or something, I see no reason why anyone would have to do such a thing.

Nope, he was behind me and I went into my lane and he tried to get into the lane when I was already in it.

No you're totally right, but if it's Snell certified I don't see what the big deal is.

I've been looking at Icon, Scorpion, and this one Cyber helmet.

Problem is anyone can slap a snell sticker on something and call it a day. See it all the time and for some reason it isn't regulated.

I have had an Icon helmet as a back up for years. They are one of the good lower market helmets. Scorpions are in the same category. That Cyber helmet, I would run from. Any helmet that cheap can't be good, I'm sorry. I am almost positive at what my buddy is going to say based on the price.

I would very strongly advise on staying away from anything that isn't known name brand (Arai, shoei, icon, agv, suomy, most HJC/Z1R are ok, scorpion). I saw a ton of helmets on there that are cheap junk helmets. One problem with the cheap junk ones is the construction of the visor and locking system. They can rattle or fall apart and that is a huge distraction. Plus they are friggin loud and let tons of air in. Trust me, you don't want a loud helmet.

I will tell you this. If you wear a cheap ass helmet on the road and then wear a good name brand one, you will know RIGHT AWAY why they are priced the way they are. It's like riding in a high end luxury car vs. a cheap ass p.o.s. Same goes for the protection and the quality of the materials. The good brands have a lot of money into development and build quality and the price reflects that.

I think I am leaning more towards the Scorpion.

Aye! Time for a five speed! Don't jump into a piece of s**t though. Take your time and be patient. Also, have someone experienced with manuals test drive the car for you, they can pick up on things you may not. Happy hunting!

I'm not. The car I have lined up is pretty much perfect. The clutch feels brand new, I'll even have my dad drive it before I actually throw the cash down. No dents, no accidents, clean title, grandfather owned since 45000 miles, had seals and gaskets replace inside the engine, lots of service done, regular intervals, just a bit of paint fade and the HIDs are gonna have to get changed to like 6000k cause they'll attract cop attention.

My dream bike is a white R6. And of course I want to match  I would love to have candy teal accents on the bike too if I could.
That sounds like a badass, bike.

I almost got my VC powder coated teal, but remembered that you and Terrance had teal b series vc's. haha.

If and when I get a bike, I wanna get an Arai. My brother had one and it was a REALLY nice helmet. I've seen a bunch of riders out there with them too. My brother basically said the same thing you're saying. Night and day difference in quality regarding the inside padding and overall protection when comparing cheap and nice helmets.

Sad honda day

well its been a upsetting day. So i woke up to a flat (start) aired it up, Then as i ate my pop tart (yum) i pushed the fully automated drop button on my window, as it cruised down i thought hmm thats a bad idea (sh!t) its gonna go off track!! , proceeded to drop delicious tart on to passenger seat, then scrambled for the window switch and failed. (window now off track) dropped it off at les shwab on my way to work ($113 labor tire etc..). I picked up my ride to see this.

2 nails and bubble on inner wall (batting 1k). As i drove home i tried to roll up the failure that is the EK window, just to be greeted "hello welcome to your car" shutter shutter click click shutter.

So i tried to stay upbeat and did some googletubing and decided to wash/lube my window molding and fix my window. Uncovered this.

So 1st image (and second) maybe reason for window running adrift. @nd image is my new shutter problem.

And to finish it off, aslo the reason i took my tweeter off, to mount it properly.

but man is it smooth as ever. I also did the "washer the track" trick.

Arai makes excellent helmets. So does Shoei. They are definitely the top of the line. Difference between the 2 from what I noticed is the shape inside. Shoei is more oval and fit funny on my head.

I LOVED my Arai. I had a Tommy Gun in black, but sold it when I stopped riding track and needed money for the business, sold almost all of my gear then as well. Had a bunch of stuff.

Pic isn't mine, but it's the same exact helmet.

Agreed. I started out with a HJC and I thought it was nice. But then after a few years I upgraded to Shoei. Wow what a difference. The thing I noticed the most was aerodynamics. When I would turn my head to check my blind spot on the highway, the HJC did not do well because once i began to turn my head the wind would twist my head sideways even more. And then it was difficult to get my head back straight again I had to fight the wind. The shoei does not have this issue.
