Lol at all these textile riding jackets people keep buying. If you have ever seen what textile does when it meets asphalt you would rethink it.

I have been down at the track at over 80mph and it was barely scraped. I low sided in a turn. It was one of the first times I had touched a knee and got too far into it so I let it down instead trying to over control it and high siding causing more damage.

On the other end I have seen someone go down about 45-50mph in a textile and it was melted to the skin in some spots. Also ripped to shreds in areas that touched while sliding. Brand was Joe Rocket IIRC. I vowed right then and there that textile was never going to be part of my gear ever again.

/rant.

Thinderhill is a popular track for bikes so they have a lot of you guys upside down and inside out. I worry about flipping my car, but you guys are nuts in my book.

I know exactly what happens when you wear textile

I'm not wearing leather in the summer. Unless I plan on doing some serious riding.

Edit* I live in Louisiana. It feels like a jungle it's so humid.

Thanks. I rescued her 8 years ago this past May, qnd in November she will be 10. She's not old, but she's not young either. 8 years just isn't enough time with her. Then again...no time is enough. My dogs are my children, so no one really understands what I'm going through.

Just got out of the shower after my night at the auto auction. We had some nice cars tonight. There was an s2000 with 90k miles, silver. So nice. I drove a 08 five speed accord. Damn those things are nice.

If it isn't leather it's a 99% chance it's textile, or some sort of hybrid.

I did, yes. All my gear was stolen when my house was burglarized a year ago unfortunately. Never replaced it because the bike is getting sold and I don't have my endorsement anymore.

I had full leathers for the track and the mountains/twisties and when in town I at least wore my leather jacket, gloves, riding boots, helmet, and riding jeans that are specifically for riding. Super thick and reinforced with kevlar. Damn things were stronger than my leathers. f***ers even had pockets that you could put pucks in so you can drag a knee. Never was ballsy enough to do that though.

Worked today. Slow as hell so I finished blacking out the emblems on the Gli.
