cigg lighter and HU not working

as i was driving home yesterday i moved my car charger which was plugged into my cigarette lighter and it as well as the radio turned off i have checked all fuses in both fuse boxes for a bad fuse and found nothing not quite sure what else to check? i have a 92 4dr civic

also the HU makes the beeping noise but the screen does not light up

Recheck fuses, and the fuse in back of head unit. Ground for the hu. And recheck fuses again.

well i definitely shorted a wire somewhere just havent found it yet looks like il be listening to the wind for now lol

Start here ---> Voltage test 15A dash fuse 23 to see whether both top test tabs have battery voltage. Click the Fuses link in my signature. Fuse 23 protects circuits for both the radio and the cig lighter.

well im having other issues now my car died on me wont turn over wont do anything the lights come on and the fuel pump primes but wont start i replaced the starter thinking it was that but apparently not it will push start but cant be jumped or started with a key

well i got it working after checking the wires with a multi meter i found that it wasnt an electrical problem but a problem with the clutch safety switch which was held together with tape and had come loose so it wasnt completing the circuit but now its fixed thank you so much for yalls advice it is deeply appreciated

Doesn't make any sense^ -- the clutch safety switch has NOTHING to do with the radio and cigarette lighter.

And not completing a circuit IS an electrical problem.

well yes the cigg. lighter and HU was a seprate issue but what i meant by it wasnt an electrical problem was it wasnt a electrical problem in the engine compartment

A short would have blown fuse 23, so it was blown, right?
