I really, REALLY hate modern hip hop. A LOT. R&B, though, I love.
Wiz Khalifa is only cool in my book because he sampled an oooold school SNES game (my favorite game of all time, actually) called Chrono Trigger.I like my Wiz Khalifa, but that's it.

Nope. They are different. Rap is the mainstream stuff. Hip hop is the more underground stuff.
I don't think it's an underground thing. LL Cool J was King of Hip Hop, and his music was all OVER the place. To me, hip hop is just that; it's smoother. Rap to me has been terrible for the past 10 years, and I only briefly liked it from the mid 90s to early 2000s.
I'm into the new r & b and hip hop meets trance/electronica. I've been a fan of synthasized music all my life, and when those genres merged, I entered heaven, I swear. I can actually sing, and break it down in 1 song? OMGYESHPLZ!
I'm a huge new-wave fan. I'm borderline obsessed with 80's music.
