their pretty good. depending what year they can be around 240-280 from factory. engines are very solid and clearances are spot on. 14 different rod bearings, same with crank bearings. solid deck. think they get issues around 400hp but not sure
So if kept stock it can be expected to be a reliable daily?
yeah, unless you drive in water like the one I rebuilt. I've heard some people say they have a burning oil issue but I've also heard they don't
Never heard of them having an oil issues. Biggest thing I hear is that they run so damn hot, which is where the power issue comes in. Added heat in a high compession cylinders, they don't like that. They never seem to blow up though, jutslowly lose power, like a balloon deflating.
