these alternating red and blue lights are pretty bright and eye catching. wonder how it would look on my civic?
In a lot of states any flashing interior lights are too I believe. At least here for sureI believe it is illegal in every state to have any exterior lights other than headlights, turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights, and they can only be red, white, and amber. You could clutter the hell out of your dash with them things though.

Yeah, that too. The only interior lights that are allowed to be on whilst driving are the instrument cluster lights and dashboard lights. All other lights are considered illegal and are only to be used when parked such as under dash glow.In a lot of states any flashing interior lights are too I believe. At least here for sure
Not necessarily. As long as the lights are DOT approved, you should be fine. I would consult your local PD.i picked up a bunch of cree leds for all exterior lights, so being brighter will get me into trouble?
Red and blue are the only lights you're not allowed to use. you could have a f**king green and pink ass spotlight on top of your car in a parking lot and they couldn't do s**t except give you a disturbing the public ticket if someone complains.^^ Not while parked. I promise you. It is not illegal to have red/blue flashing all over your car, parked in a parking lot. Wheels moving, yes. Stopped w/ keys off, no.
EDIT: Now that's not to say it's wise to test the law or that a cop wouldn't actually tell you to turn them off, but I guarantee you'll win in a court if it ever went that far.
EDIT 2: Well then I see this...
"Unless otherwise authorized by the commissioner of public safety, no vehicle shall be equipped, nor shall any person drive or move any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with any lamp or device displaying a red light or any colored light other than those required or permitted in this chapter.
Subd. 3.Flashing lights."
So... That'd probably blow my previous statement out of the water. I guess if a cop really wanted to bust you on it, he probably could depending on your states wording. In the instance I was speaking of, we were all parked at a car meet sorta deal so cops weren't there to bust anyone, just keep the peace. I'm sure in a different situation it might not turn out the same. ... I'll go kick myself in the junk now.
