Alright im hoping to get a good debate going on here...

Im turn between making my LS coupe LSV or LS turbo.. What do you guys think what are the pros and cons of both? This will be My DD Untill FEb next year most likely..

Any feed back would be much appreciated Thank you!

There is nothing to debate, because we do not know your goals, skill set, budget or anything like that.

It's 2013, everything Honda has been done and debated already.

Alright my Mistake and I understand everything has been done hints why I am asking everyone the people that have done both and know the ins and outs... Im looking to put about a $1000 into it for either set up. I am not trying to be the fastest thing out there at the moment so I don't want to get into building anything right now. I want it to be reliable because it is my DD and I want to do it right the first time... Again anything would help

I don't see that really being enough money, especially if you don't know how to build it yourself....

x2 It truly isn't *unless you have good connections and your very mechanically inclined*, your going to need more than that to even have it be reliable for dd purposes.

Wish I had been around for that build! Was that in your black si? Or was it an si?
Yes EM1. Moderately built B16a2/b18b1 turbo tuned on Apexi powerFC... That was a pricey build! Parts alone ran over $4k. It was a hell of a daily driver, and very reliable but good things are not meant to last so I sold it after 4 years of awesomeness lol

Fast. Cheap. Reliable. Pick two.

$1000 might get you a reliable LS swap.

Save your money. A proper tune will probably cost $250 to $350, same with a Gsr gearbox, s100 chipped ecu is another $200 or so. That's roughly $800 before anything with the motor.

I used to have an LS Turbo, put it this way.... it (was) more fun to drive than my G35. I have a feeling if I went with an LS/V instead that I would NOT be saying that same thing... ;)

Not to mention that if I pop my motor, I would much rather just be able to throw another LS in it

I have a very reliable LS swap in my car already the only thing I am doing is Getting either a turbo kit OR Vtec head a tune and some other bolt ons to make sure I have a good fuel system.. I do have very good connections and I have worked on Hondas with others before just never have done anything to my actual own car... I started this to get feed back on what way I should go Because pricing it out so far im looking around a few Hundred more to go turbo then just LSV.. Main question is is that worth it?

Turbo is totally worth it, though you'll want a conservative tune if you want to stay reliable. Don't cheap out on anything either.

Ls/v turbo would be awesome though.
