Finally some help! Ok well I was down shifting to third gear and every gear seems like its in neutral. I put a new clutch today and it and didn't do anything. I start it and put it in 1st-5th and I can let the clutch out and car doesn't do anything or go anywhere. It stays idle to while I'm in gear with clutch out. Please help have a job interview next week. Thank you

axels seem fine to

Going to have to troubleshoot some more than that. You don't really give much information to go off of. Is the shift linkage attached still? Does it make any sound when trying to engage a gear? If the linkage is intact, then you have something internal in the transmission that has become detached. What were you doing when it this happened? Just driving normal?

what was your procedure in detailed when you put in a new clutch?
did you verify the pressure plate surface and flywheel surface? the fingers on the pressure plate? etc....

Make sure the fork is actually engaging and disengaging the clutch. It sounds like when you put it all back together, you must've messed up the reinstallation. Is the rod on the slave contacting the fork?

This. Your clutch isn't being engaged at all. Pushing the clutch in pushes the fork against the pressure plate and grabs the clutch to the flywheel. It sounds like the fork isn't moving the plate at all.

correction:
pressing on the clutch pedal sends fluid to the slave, which in turn pushes the fork against the many fingers on the pressure plate and disengages the clutch.

Well yes, I left that part out lol. That's why I asked him if the slave rod was contacting the fork. Cause that's where I would look. Check to make sure your hydraulic system is working.

Is the car driveable at all? I'd say take if all back apart and go over it again and make sure you didn't ,iss something.
