I received my Mugen lug nuts via ICB motorsports today. They are pretty nice, well as far as lug nuts are concerned. It's more about a name I guess, that and they are a quality product at a price just above average lug nuts. In other news I finished a major coupe paint job/ restoration. Now I'll have time to work on my projects. I received a few items as partial payment for my sedan build. I got 5 Mugen RNR's, a jdm itr 4-1 header, and a new Honda heat shield for it. I also have a small special piece in the mail. Here's today's little addition though.

Here's a little bit of what I received as payment the other day. The Mugen RNR's are in so-so shape. 3 are black and 2 are original silver finish. One of the silver ones is cracked on the inside bead but it still holds air. I may get it fixed or I may just make it a statement piece. I'll see how much it is to repair it first before I make an decisions about it. I started to strip them and prep them for being refinished. I'll more than likely spray them gloss black like my ce28's. I just don't feel like sanding them, and stripping all the paint off is one way to get around that. I'll sand blast the remnants of paint off, etch and prime them, then spray my paint on them. It'll probably be a week or so before they are done, but it's only because it'll be on the back burner.

Here they are covered in stripper. The black paint on them is like rubber or vinyl or something. It comes off rubbery and in strips.

I also got a Jdm itr 4-1 header. I got a brand new heat shield for her too.

Here's that coupe you wanted to see. I'll post pics once it has it's wheels and is complete with it's engine and external goodies. Those corner lenses are just junk to fill the void. I stripped the entire car for a friend with the same quality as my rhd.

It doesn't look like much now. The quality is there, but since it's missing so many parts it's hard to draw conclusions pre assembly. I know what else is going on it and it's gonna look pretty neat. It has a built h22 and the wheels were sprayed the formula for monster energy green off the monster cars. It's a chrome base powder coat and 2 coats of transparent yellow/green. It looks like wet antifreeze.

I got a few goodies over the last few days and did a little bit of work to get this thing rolling. I got a nice pretty oil cap for the nice pretty valve cover. Mugen was par for the course so I had to stick it out and buy one. I also have been stripping my Mugen RNR's over the past few days and then today finally got to sand blast off all the extra crap and corrosion on them. I'll acid etch them and coat them in an anti corrosion primer and the paint is designed to cure down the primer with it. It's deadly s**t, so that means it's awesome. These wheels are nice and clean and ready to be nice and gloss black.

Yay for Mugen! My Mugen oil cap gets super hot if the engine is remotely warm, just a warning if you ever check the oil when it's warm.

Well today I etched, treated, primed, and painted my wheels. They look pretty good for wheels that are about 20 years old. Nice and shiny. I painted them with a corrosion resistant bare metal epoxy primer and DuPont aircraft single stage.

I wish I had talent like you man. I'd love to take on the task of painting my own car.

Getting some tires Saturday. Hopefully everything goes good with the install. You know how "professional" tire guys can be. I'll get a pic with the Mugen's mocked up.

I was going to go with Yokohama S drive tires but both places I called didn't have them in their warehouses so I just went with a set of Nitto Neogens. 205 50 15s.
