Bought a Remington 870 20 gauge shotgun today. Also had a guy back into my car in the parking lot. He admitted fault so his insurance will pay to fix it. I'll be getting a new door. which means that window will be getting fixed as well as the speaker that doesn't work in that door

anyways, onto gun.

Funny story...

Two weeks ago a guy ran into the back of my wife who was driving the Odyssey. He called the police and after a few minutes, they arrived. The cop had them fill out info for each other and they both went on their way. Well as it turns out, the guy that ran into the back of my van gave us and the cop false insurance info and was actually never insured. Thankfully we had uninsured driver coverage ($3 extra a month) but we're still out $250 for the deductible we had to pay (which is reimbursed if they ever get that guy to pay for the damages. So.. Not likely) Total cost is estimated right now at ~$4500. Supposed to have it back next week.

... Actually, that's not a funny story at all. :(

Ah! Don't scare me

He claimed to have insurance and provided paperwork so I hope all is good with that.

Sucks about the van though.

That sucks! At least you guys have multiple vehicles! I have every bit of coverage I can get on my car, just in case of scenarios like this.

I don't know about there bit some people here get insurance pay first month then don't pay anymore. As long as their card or sheet of paper says they are covered they are let go. Ohh and you have to use your insurance to pay. Had it happen to guy I worked with.

Insurance is reported to the DMV, if your insurance is cancelled long enough, your registration will be suspended. I've gotten a ticket because my insurance company didn't contact DMV when I switched carriers. It's a major ticket, and your car could be towed if the cop wants to be a cunt

I would have normally asked to see the insurance too, but he was the one who called the cops! I figured what non insured driver would call the police on himself? Turns out his registration was expired as well but that's just a tiny fix it ticket here in AK. So he got a ticket for that on the spot.
