Today was a good day and the paint gods shown their approval of me waiting until today to paint my engine bay. Turns out the old Nason Ful-thane is pretty good stuff to paint a bay with. It sprays easy and looks great. I sprayed my mirrors and spoiler on my white hatch in about 2009 with the stuff and haven't done any special maintenance to it so this stuff should be good for as long as I have my car. I'll have to put my subframe back in and rebuild my rack later. The suspension and all the stuff will have to come apart later but for now I don't have time for that.

Today was another day with new parts in my possession. My new hood, drip rail moldings, a new battery, and a new left fender. I still have several things to paint trim black, and I'll be on my way to reassembling the bay sooner than later. Also I'll be spraying the bottom of my hood, impact beam, battery box, and several other small pieces white with the single stage I got.

Also.. Unrelated question.. Do you buy your ammo online? I can't seem to find ANY freakin .22lr around here.. Idk any good sites to buy from.

Yeah it's pretty funny. It won't hurt the hood any sitting that way, it's just that dumbasses will either walk across it or stack stuff on it. I was wondering if anyone would notice.

As for the ammo I've never bought any online. I've just been buying it for years, even before all this s**t down. You could have said I saw it coming. I've got a few thousand rounds of .22LR as well as other calibers.

There's a website called bulkammo that has buckets of 1400 rounds of remington .22lr for 215. Comes out to about 15 cents a round. I just don't know if I want to trust the site. Wish I was a little older, I would have a larger stockpile by now

I'm not that old lol. I've been buying it for a couple of years. 15 cents a round is really high. I think in a box of 500 they are usually between 3-5 cent a round.

I hope so. I've got a lot of brand new stuff I've still got to buy and that doesn't make me happy.

Here's a little bit of the stuff I got from Pull-a-part. I got a deck lid that I can feel good about cutting holes in for my eg9 spoiler, and if I don't like it I can go spoiler-less at any time. I also go an ex tach with very similar mileage (yeah I know it can easily be swapped over) but I'll leave it because it has 5k less than my car. It's coming together nicely as I'm working on parts every day. I've got a box of cleaned items and refinished parts already.

The way I see it is if I'm going to drive a 1995 civic, then I'm going to want to drive it instead of something newer.

Yeah most people don't really understand what it takes to cross the threshold from good to great. It's small, and it's huge at the same time. It's the little things. With the eyes of a professional painter you see things most people won't. You critique everything. I think only 5% of builds are the "greats". I really enjoy seeing things I feel have the effort, love, quality and the owners personality that make cool cars.
Here's a little bit of the progress from today. I prepped and painted my bumper brackets, fender brackets, and battery tray.

Today was a good day for the old car. I managed to put together the bay as much as I could. I need to paint a few more trinkets and buy a few more pieces. As of today the bay is as close to being built as I can make it. Looking good.
I bench bled my new brake master cylinder to save mea little time. Yes the reservoir is blue lol.

I'll get on Majestic and check out the other stuff I'm gonna buy. Here's some stuff I did today. I sand blasted the brackets that looked like crap in my bay and primed and painted them.
