Yea it is true. They announced it for themselves. Suppose to be on lookout for the unloading of parts in Florida area. Sucks.Did you guys hear about K-Tuned getting some display parts and engines stolen after Honda day? I heard that this is true, but also that it is false. Anyone else know anything?
Yea man it does. It seems like they're gonna be busting their asses to be getting those engines and that prototype rsx manifold built by two weeks time.Yea it is true. They announced it for themselves. Suppose to be on lookout for the unloading of parts in Florida area. Sucks.
WTH? That's BS man! Fight the power! I would call the other guys insurance and tell them to hook that up for you asap. I know the age thing is a big deal for rentals at most places, but you having full coverage shouldn't be when the other insurance company is footing the bill. Call the other place quick if you haven't already. Good luck man!And now my day isn't so bad ^^
I had a guy hit my passenger door in a parking lot about a week or so ago, and today I took the car in for repairs and to get a car rental. I had spoken with multiple representatives from enterprise to make sure I wouldn't run into any issues. They all said that since it's through someone else's insurance, I don't have to be 25, and everything is fine.
So I wake up at 7:30 this morning to go to the shop fill out all the paperwork, have enterprise pick me up, fill out the paperwork there and then they asked me if I had full coverage. On my 96 civic? No. So they told me since I'm under 25 and I don't have full coverage on my personal vehicle, they can't give me a rental car. So thankfully they were nice enough to give me a ride back to the shop, and then I had to fill out more paperwork to get the shop to not do anything so I could have my car back. I have to either switch to full coverage and restart the claim process, or.. Something..
Blah!
Wow.. Just.. holy.. wow.. yeah.. those guys are morons. So I take my car in for an alignment+lower balls joints pressed into BNIB front LCAs while it's there. Dude calls me an hour later and says the car wont start (I've known/owned this car for 4 years and it's NEVER had an issue starting). I tell him this, and he says he will have his mechanic look at it so whatever. Dude calls me back 3 hours and says they can't do the work because the bolts on the LCAs are seized and they can't remove them. I promptly retort that I had the bolts off a few weeks ago, and purposefully took them off myself so that they didn't have to deal with them. They aren't seized, as I replaced the inner ones and put anti-seize on them, and had the inner ones off not 3 days ago and slopped anti-seize on them as well. So I go pick it up and it still wont start, has power but nothing going to starter, they jump the starter for me and I get it home. I check the usual, the clutch bypass, the grounds etc. It starts when hard wired to the battery, but not from the ignition switch. I get under there and sure as s*** there is the ignition wire, a crimp, then two wires spliced back into one and they both look like they fit into the crimp on the ignition side. I put the signal wire on my Fluke and connect the wires and turn the key...12v to the signal wire (f***ing derp), plug the signal wire back into the starter and it fires right up. Solder all the wires back together and button the dash back together. It looks like some flat foot front desk a*****e shoved their foot down there, caught the wire and ripped it out of the crimp. How the f*** can you not feel that when you step down on the clutch, judging by how much exposed wire came out of the crimp I would say it was in there pretty solid. It's f***ing stupid that I take my car somewhere for some simple work and end up having to fix something they f***ed up.
For the record, the was Gateway Tire in Olive Branch, MS. They have lost my business forever, and anywhere I can write a review for them I am going to s*** all over them. This isn't the first time they have claimed some bulls*** saying they "can't" do work on my car for one reason or another. There are others around Memphis but not sure about anywhere else. The two closest to my house give me s*** each time.

UGH. Do you have rental coverage on your insurance? I would be calling your insurance company and working with them. If you have it, it shouldn't matter regardless. If they won't work with you, see if you can talk directly with the other person's insurance company. Sometimes being stern, but polite, will get you what you need! And now my day isn't so bad ^^

No. Don't do this. Ever.Buy a bike. Problem solved.
Just got off the phone with them. They're cutting me a check for the estimate and giving me an added 300 dollars (equivalent to the car rental) to arrange for transportation so f**k it. I'm happy. Gonna be just over a grand. I'll probably source a used door through a part out or junkyard and put the rest of the money into my transmission that so desperately needs a rebuild. Thanks for the support though man!WTH? That's BS man! Fight the power! I would call the other guys insurance and tell them to hook that up for you asap. .... So in other news. What's with the rise in CC OG activity lately? Someone send out a mass email asking them to come back and post?
WOO! Glad to hear they did you right. Get it all done as cheaply as possible, and pocket some of that cash!Just got off the phone with them. And as far as the og's goes.. A popular member on the site recently passed away. I believe a lot of members caught wind about it and came back on here to reminisce. I like them unfortunate circumstances, but fun members nonetheless.
SOrry to hear about this bro, but glad you're taking action. Talk to the owner if you can.So I take my car in for an alignment+lower balls joints pressed into BNIB front LCAs while it's there. They are always swamped, so they really aren't worried about my business. They are okay if you're just buying tires, but anything that requires thought or elbow grease well forget about it.SOrry to hear about this bro, but glad you're taking action. Talk to the owner if you can.
Either this business has soo much profit coming in, that they can just let a client go like that. or They don't give a crap about going out of business.
How much did they quote you for the job they were suppose to do?
