smaller piston than block cylinder oil leak

I recently bought a Honda Civic 1999 EX but I found a better deal and sold it to buy a 1995 Civic with a B16A swap and full turbo setup, in great condition for a low price now i bought it knowing it has this problem but since it was so cheap I couldn't pass it up (paid $2500 for everything).

The owner bought Forged pistons but got smaller ones than the cylinder (not sure about the size as we did not check yet.. waiting for the weekend.) and I'm not sure the headgaset he put is correct either. Now its leaking oil between the head and the block. Now this is not a problem since we are going to take everything out in the coming days and get exactly what is needed for the car to run perfect but in the mean time. Is it possible to drive the car without damaging more things? or is it strongly advised against?

Also getting the correct pistons and a new gasket kit should fix the problem right?

I would advise against it unless you wanna put in a quart or two meanwhile. How bad is the leak? Can you post a picture?
