how to tell what civic hatchback I have.

What's up everyone I'm new to the whole civic thing and have done some research myself but lost. So I have a 1996 civic hatchback the badges were removed and no door handles. The interior was swapped out from a Integra. How would I found out what model it is?

Yeah there is. Dx came with air condition, a third wiper option for the lift gate, and a longer color matched spoiler.

check the bulkhead, should be a plate with model number or else vin is stamped onto the bulkhead

No it didn't. AC is a dealers option. Idk about the other two. There are bigger differences between 92-95 I believe. Only difference I know of in 96-98 is possibly 3rd wiper arm, and the radio.

a/c was an option on the cx, and standard on the dx. cx has no rear wiper, standard on the dx. Other differences and options vary by the year.... I own a CX and DX currently, and have owned others of both models in the past at different times.

how do you know? Couple months ago i saw one for sale in the USA with a sunroof. If i see it gain i will find out more info about the car. It was not an aftermarket sunroof, that's for-sure.
