I would of too :what:

Went down to Oxford to the square and walked about for a little while, new shortblock is at the freight place so Im picking that up tomorrow and my GC/Konis should be here tomorrow. They will sit in the garage for a long time as I don't see getting a day off from now until the day I die.
D'awwww ;)

I'm jealous. I would love to have GC/Konis on my coupe.

I want GC koni so bad but I'm gonna wait until after winter. No point in getting them now for me.

Listening to Sabzi wishing I was cruising in the Civic.

By the way, I have a question. I will be applying for a personal loan for a bike. That way I'm not pressed to finish the coupe right away, and the bike I want is still available to me if I make the call. That way when I do sell the Civic, I can use that money to pay the rest of the bike off (or whatever I decide to do). I was going to go through BECU, they seem to have reasonable rates and from a ton of people I've heard they are easy to work with. Is there a benefit between a personal loan and a motorcycle/sport vehicle loan? The lowest APR is lower when going for a sport vehicle loan, but I'm wondering if that is for a dealer buy versus a private party. Any thoughts on this? I could very well afford a < $200ish monthly payment.

I used a vehicle loan for a private sale. interest was the same and a lot lower than a personal loan

Woohoo, Bears pulled it off

'Bout ready to look elsewhere for work. It's been two weeks with this new supervisor trying to make a name for herself and I've about had it.

Put up some collateral for the PL vs having to get motorcycle insurance for a young female with the auto loan.

I always get really nice Asian guys or crack ass white guys. One guy I sold some motor mounts to asked me out after he left o_O
Lol I would have too! Although in a less cheesy manner, I'm sure (more along the lines of "Hey. Come get coffee with me, yeah?").

I was going to rock GC/Konis on the EJ8. That s**t is gone, though, and I'm beyond glad haha.

A) Unless you have amazing credit and a down, you will likely have a tough time getting a personal loan. Go with whomever/whatever can get you the best rate, and is able to work with what you want (length of loan, payments etc.).
B) Since you have a daily, buy a bike, sell the Civic, put half of that into an account dedicated to the bike, and have the payments come out of it every month automagically. Take the other half, furnish your apartment/buy goodies/spoil yourself. Then, after a few months/whenever you're comfortable, start supplementing that account (transferring $200 a month into the account). Bam. Bike his half paid off, you got to enjoy yourself, and you're building your credit. Also, that's IF you can get a loan. If you have little to nothing in your name, it's going to be hard. Just a heads up. Also, your insurance is going to be batshit insane.

crash you should try to find something that is nice to ride but not a super sport. if you're still looking at a r6 or whatever. you can't really use that bike for what it's for on public roads.

you should test ride the new ninja 300. it's really flickable and fun in the curves.

or if you can find one a suzuki sv650 those are nice to ride.

I dunno, dude. I'm the biggest anti-bike person ever, but my best friend had an R6 back in about 07. He drove it on Southern California's notoriously shitty roads with little to no issues. It was his first bike, too. He was responsible, respected the bike and it's power, and took it slow. Before he sold it, he was taking it down the backside of a very popular mountain here (look up Highway 138 to Crestline. That winding patch is absolutely insane. People drift it, and it's a popular track for bikes) like a madman. It just takes time, but is also dependent on the rider, and their respect for the bike and it's power.

It was super cheesy the way he did it. I'm sure I have the convo somewhere on my phone.

And that's kind of the plan. I would do a loan so that way I don't have to rush to get the Civic done. I don't really have a lot of time to keep going back to the machine shop (only open Mon-Fri and it's across the water). I do want to sell it though at some point.

I've ridden this bike and I feel that it's really enjoyable. It's not as aggressive as I expected. The FZR was harder to handle (granted it was in way shittier condition).

Well, ordered my nav unit from Amazon last night, and it looks like I was charged twice lol. $1500 taken out of my account is scary. They're claiming it should only charge me once, but I'm kinda concerned here.

i was suggesting something with cheaper insurance since super sport bikes have added costs.

do you think he would be slower on a bike with less hp? i would guess he would be about the same, maybe even a little faster since he would be able to keep the bike in it's happy rev range.

the point i was trying to make is that super sport bikes have a lot of potential and unless you're going to a safe track environment you'll never begin to touch it on the streets. unless you're doing something stupid which will probably end with the bike in an insurance salvage yard and you in the hospital.

you should still ride the new ninja 300 if you get a chance to. it's a nice bike.

I agree. It's what I'm looking at getting next summer. I rode a friend of mine's around his neighborhood and I loved it! I like that it's fuel injection, the ninja 250 is not. The 300 is a lot more responsive, looks better, rides better, and I like that I can flat foot it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a temp gauge. A gear indicator would be cool too. But other than that I'm sold. :D!

I need a bike I can kill myself on. If I'm not scared to ride it then it isn't worth it to me. But that's how I've always been with bikes and other recreational vehicles my whole life.

any bike can do that. because chances are someone driving while playing on their smartphone is going to kill you. you should get a bicycle, so when it happens you'll have time to be scared instead of just being dead instantly.

you should chance your reasoning for getting a bike. lots of riders your age end up making the motorcycle community look bad because you're riding for stupid reasons and doing stupid things on them.
