Regardless, here is what you'll need..I have to look at how to change mine, I know I can see miles till empty, instant mpg, and average. so many buttons though. I'll have to keep hat harness in mind since I want the navi but I like my steering wheel controls

An example of the Steering Wheel Control lead.. this is dependent on the new head unit you get (in my case, I have a Kenwood DNX570HD Nav). Yours will be different, but they'll have what you need on the website:

This is an example of a plug-and-play adapter for your stock harness to an aftermarket harness. These are, like the steering wheel controls, dependent on the head unit. Once again, this is for the kenwood I have:

The nice thing about that is it requires NO cutting of wires. You don't have to do s*** to the stock harness, it will simply adapt to it and bam - good to go. BEAUTIFUL.
I have all of that s*** on order right now, but everyone on the Audi forums says their stuff is fantastic. They specialize in German/Euro cars, so their products are renowned in that community.
