Most people that build Hondas don't like to think about how much money they've spent.

Hey Crash!!! Hvent been in here in a while glad to see people are still active >< dont know why i expected it to be dead? Ive actually spent more cash buying cars than what i put into them. I alway save on parts no matter what. I wait for the deal and snatch it =) so far on my Mr2 i got the front bumper, head lights, steering wheel, ignition stuff, strut bars, seats, and others for less than 700 and thats including car price =)

I was over $6K in my old ES1 4-Door... and it was pretty much stock besides an Twin Loop, Header, SRI, and Lip/Rims! needless to say, I went through a lot of parts! set of ball joints a month! hahaha

it's more like... if i sold it i'd take a huge loss.
and if i don't sell it but don't fix it, i just don't have a car because i can't afford another one that would be any better. i bought this for 1200. so my budget isn't very big.

I would have started installing them unless i didnt have a second dd or it is the primary dd. But the last of what you need is the usual finishing products. Doesnt seem so bad :popcorn:

replaced the muffler. fart can < magnaflow (found out the exhaust isn't the right exhaust. maybe for a coupe? idk but it doesn't fit the brackets that well. kinda pulls them towards the rear of the car.)
pioneer 3 way door speakers
pioneer head unit
bosch winter wiper blades
MB five-x 15" rims + road hugger all season tires 195/55
used transmission (not installed. current one has a bad input bearing. thought i was getting a p20B. it isn't)
new alt belt
new alt
new pads/rotors
rebuilt passenger front caliper
new driver front caliper
brake fluid flush
NGK plugs

stuff that hasn't cost me money but have done:
installed my amp and subs
removed window tint on front windows (michigan law)

Stuff that still needs fixed:
CEL code 09 (crank sensor, just needs a new distributor i think)
replace the transmission. (not replacing flywheel or clutch)
crank pully (altnernator) fell off because the key backed out so need a new key and install old pulley belt which i was was lucky enough to catch
a HUGE amount of body work. rusty, dented, crappy paint.

probably some other stuff but that's what i can think of.

Right now it's my only car since I sold my SRTs. Soooooo tempted to buy something impractical for a daily and start ripping the DA apart so I can have a bigger pile of Honda junk to look at.

all the pictures i've taken are trying to make it look it's best lol...

it needs:
new front bumper
both new doors
new hatch
new hood
new driver side front fender
patched rear 1/4s (rust)
a dent in the passenger side behind the door that's pretty big needs to be un dented.
new windsheild molding on the drivers side
paint
only visual mods i want to do are a front lip. foglights and a (bigger than stock) duckbill

that's if i wanted it in "pretty" condition
which i do.

About 9-10k in at this point (mostly stock em1). Bought the car, rebuilt engine (stock spec), rear-ended somebody after 70mi on engine so I got a whole new front end, then rebuilt engine again after 10,000mi bc machine shop screwed it up. Fun stuff.

The total includes price of car when I bought it.
