Not really an obsession, but some people just put too much on their plate. Then wonder why they're in debt.
That's why you budget, and you have your stuff in line THEN do it.

I am able to yeah. But I'm trying to get THIS one. Because it's my boyfriend's brothers, and I think he would like me to have it if it's possible.

I also know the owner of Ducati of Seattle... he's one of my clients. We had a 30 minute conversation about how he's going to talk me into a race bike or Ducati
:O GIRL GET YOURSELF A FUGGIN DUCATI. I'm absolutely positive they can get you financed if you know someone there. You don't even need a fast ass Ducati - get a 600! Those things are f**king sex on two wheels!

I know, but there are some many that don't.
And that's their own fault. I can afford a bike payment.

I don't have that much to drop on a bike. Let alone a FIRST bike.

If it's possible, it's always better to pay in full in cash, but most people don't have that kind of cash lying around. I myself will save if it's $5-10k, and pay in full.
I disagree. I thought that and because I never took loans out it's biting me in the ass. it's the only reason I don't have a house, I didn't have enough of a credit history. having loans here and there paid off over a decent length of time helps a lot.

I always paid in full in cash and it f**ked me hard

They have bikes that aren't outrageously expensive. For instance, the 2014 Monster 696 is $9,995 starting. That's not bad. With 2 grand down, you're financing $7,995. Work the dealer a bit, and you could get it for less. Your payments would be great, and that is a BADASS bike. It does look a bit like a touring bike, though... not as sporty. But damn is it sporty haha.

Well of course! That was also part of my point: you need to have credit history to get awesome s**t. That's just how life in the western economy works.

for sure dude, i agree. Need to stay on your level man.
Again, there is a fine line between being a slave to debt, and using debt to better your financial position. Lrn2Economy.

I'm not the biggest fan of Monsters. They look rad, but like you said I want something sporty. Like the 848 :D

You think they'd let me?
If you know that dude, let them know you are absolutely interested in purchasing something, I'm sure they would. Don't tell them you have a down unless you really want the bike, though.
