98 civic ex rear making noise when hitting bump?

I drive 98 civic, around 150,000 miles, it is pretty annoying when every time I go over bump, the rear is making squeeze noise, goes like :zzzzzzzzzz , I really dont like that and I hope anyone here can simply help me identify the problem before I bring to mechanic, so I wont get a rip-off,

Have you checked the shock absorbers?

And fix the problem yourself if you want to avoid getting ripped off. Otherwise, you're at their mercy.

how to check shock absorbers?

how can I do it on my own? I tried to press down the trunk on each side very hard and some time the ZZZ sound will come on, is it the spring? or shock absorbers? or probably those plastic or rubber pieces are becoming the source of the noise?

To find a sound you need to hear it. There is no way to hear it through reading on a forum. YOU are going to have to locate the sound or bring it to someone that can. Best we can do is throw a bunch of guesses out.

Get someone to push the car up and down while you look around and try to narrow the sound.
