nice touch with the wing. I always wanted one of those Ferio duckbill wings for my 92, but could never afford the $300+ for the part and the outrageous shipping costs

got this to my door for $250. If it were the $400 or so for the ones for sale I wouldn't own one right now.

Got me some good stuff in the mail. I've got a nice new set of Brembo blank rotors as well as buying several new goodies from Majestic once again. I bit the bullet and bought new rear spindles from Honda instead of parts store brand wheel bearings. The price is too close to consider the lower quality. I'll feel a little bad taking new spindles and pressing out the new wheel studs and pressing in more. It's good because it' one step closer to having suspension on the car and it being drivable. A camber kit and struts and springs will be next on the list.

I got some goodies in the mail today. I'll finally be able to finish the front suspension when I work on it next. The rear brakes lack the wheel bearings that I ordered from Majestic. Once they arrive I have to press out the factory wheel studs and press in the ARP ones. I'll have to get some good pics of the install.
Here's my Brembo blanks for my gsr brake setup.

I have the brembo blanks too. Good price for them compared to other good quality blank rotors.

Yeah the price of them compared to lesser quality parts store ones are also comparable which is why I got these. I'll be working on getting the rest of my suspension parts together as the weeks pass. I'll be ordering new struts, springs, and a camber kit. I'll be getting an alignment after I get it all on the car then on to getting it tuned. Once i do that I'll be painting a lot of the pieces and getting it ready to put together. I'll also be doing some priming, bodywork, and some work on my rear trailing arms tomorrow. Pics should be rolling in soon.

Here's a pic of the rotors installed on my refurbished front knuckles.

Today I had a pretty good experience with my car. It usually never goes smoothly but today I got a break. I stuck some tape down on the deck lid and lined up the spoiler, then pressed it down so it made some impressions in the tape. I looked underneath to make sure that the outer holes were within the factory indents in the frame. There is a center mounting hole in this spoiler. I lined it up the same way and bingo, it all worked fine. The "best" part was cutting the hole in the top of my deck lid or a grommet for the wiring to enter the trunk. I approached it timidly. I drilled a hole and used my dremmel to cut the rest out, test fitting it intermittently until it fit snugly. Then I finally got to bolt it up. The wiring was pretty simple. I just had to splice it into the existing brake light signal.
Other than that I just installed my new hood cable assembly, clips and new hood latch. No pics of that because they are pretty ho hum pieces. The spoiler will be naked and primed soon enough.

Holes drilled and grommet installed.

Installed and looking good

Looking real good from the back. She'll look way better when all the emblems are all installed.

its funny when i was younger i got brembo blanks for my coupe, and SWORE up and down they were knock offs due to the pricing, but low and behold that is what they cost.. one of the few cases where it seems to be too good to be true and its true and good!

Yeah I was happy to get mine for that price. I've got drilled and slotted Brembos on my rhd and they are more expensive. The coating that is on them is strange. It's like clear coat or something to keep it from rusting. It's probably gonna be a strange break in with some stanky stuff coming off. The Prothane bushings really are kinda lame to put in. The factory ones are easy enough to get out with the specialty tool. I hammered the first one in. That sucked pretty hard core. For the second bushing I used my specialty tool with a couple of sockets on the sides of the bushing sleeve and a couple of the old break pads bridging the gap. Needless to say if the brake pads weren't total trash before I used them for pressing the bushing in, they sure were when I was done. They were parts store pads and my press tool nearly bored hole in the top one and cracked both of them. It sure made my life easier though. My Majestic order isn't here yet so I didn't have my rear wheel bearings to finish the rears. I also have to press in my new ARP wheel studs once they arrive.
I got the fronts built to completion so I can put them on easily. Just bolts and re bleeding the brakes for them. They are now a lot heavier. I'll buy some more suspension goodies soon. Here are a few pics of some of the stuff I did today.

Getting some of the stuff laid out.

Pressing out the bushings. I also had to take the lower inner of each wheel bearing off with my race removal tool. I've never had any of the rears come apart on me before.

Prothane bushing number one installed. This one got the more brutal installation. Number 2 was much easier.

Front brakes with new wheel bearings, new ARP wheel studs, new lower ball joints, new Brembo rotors, new brake pads and new Russell braided stainless brake lines. I'd say for the setup that's about as much as I could throw at it without going aftermarket.

I dunno man. I figure as long as they are name brand and are a quality rotor and not taken beyond their recommended thickness I hope it'll be good.

I got a little bit more done today. I took out factory wheel studs and put in the ARP wheel studs. So out with the new, in with the new. lol. I'll be putting the rear brakes together tonight because I'm bored. It only took a few minutes a press the factory ones out and the new ones back in. Here's my progress pics from earlier today.

Today I had a good day working on some of my stuff. I started out the day sleeping late and working on my spoiler for my sedan after noon. I found out that my right rear caliper's e-brake actuator was frozen up also. I bought a reman one from advance and painted it. I finished building my rear trailing arms and got a pic of them also. I managed to surface my eg9 spoiler and that's about the extent of what I accomplished today. Look for more goodies in the near future.

Here's my rear disk setup. They have new oem spindles, brembo rotors, oem brake pads, prothane trailing arm bushings and Russell Stainless braided brake lines. Quite nice for a daily setup if I say so myself.

My eg9 spoiler. I'll be getting a large amount of parts prepped so I can go ahead and get them sprayed white. I just have to block a few pieces.

I received one more piece of my suspension puzzle in the mail today. All I have left to buy for the suspension are struts and springs. I'll be tuning my car in the near future and I'll be curious to see what kind of power it makes. I hope to get this thing put together and get a wheel alignment also. Time is rolling on and that's what it takes to get a long term build like this one done. That and money lol.
