Picked up a -6AN wrench for my fuel lines

Got my hands on both of the newly released delrin shift knobs

billet logo plate

5th gear lockout, simply because I like to own the available options

Makes the billet rsx shifter look more complete to me

Feels crazy solid when moving the lockout back and forth

These shift knobs feel great. No cold shift knob in this cool weather

.......waiting for more swap stuff to show up......

What's the point of locking out 5th gear?

The oem shifter and cable system might be fine for a car going to pick up some groceries, but in a performance car this setup is definitely lacking. It is unfortunately all too common that people are missing gears with K-series transmission which can be costly.
In a stock RSX or a swapped car a mis-shift from 1-2-1 or 2-3-2 usually results in a blown motor with a big ugly hole in the block. Using feedback from our family of racers, K-Tuned has come in and developed a complete shifter system to keep the gears going where they are supposed to be.
The K-Tuned Shifter 5th Gear Lockout comes with our Shifter Billet Arm. This 100% billet aluminum arm uses a durable delrin pivot ball with much tighter clearances than stock. We also fitted the arm with a stiffer neutral return spring to help remove shifter “play” or “looseness” that people commonly complain about. Now for the tricky part, the 5th Gear Lockout is like a guide that was designed to keep the shifter going into the correct gear.
Start with a billet template that fits over the base of the oem shifter box. On this base we designed a spring loaded pin to lock the shifter out of the 5-6-R section of the shifter. By doing this the user just needs to focus on shifting to 4 corners.
However we made it with 2 settings. When setup in the release setting, 4th gear opens the shifter up for a normal shift to 5th if needed. Designed to fit all oem shifter boxes from K20A/A2/ and Z1 engines and also the EM2 Civic shifter box, this part is like an insurance policy for your engine. Street car or race car our guided 5th Gear Lockout will definitely keep your gears going in the right spot.

I read that after I posted cause I was curious. Makes sense. Kind of funny how the company says "bang third"

You should see how tight 1,3,5th gear is on the short throw setting with this shift box. Normal driving is a piece of cake, a quick gear change is a bit sketchy without setting the box to 90% normal throws.

I don't plan to drag anyway, but I like owning the available options. Or I could be a man, and risk blowing a couple thousand dollars to shift cool lol.

It has begun
I read that like Shang Tsung from the mortal kombat movie lol

Latest things to show up at my door

Oem outer tie rods. After going through tons of reviews on Moog, AutosuckZone, and Hardrace, I got tired of finding bad experiences so I figured I can't really beat oem quality. When you think about it, a lot of these project cars have the original tie rods on them and they've lasted 10+ years.

I was surprised to see them silver. They've always been black to me, but I guess that's just years of filth piled up

The one thing that does suck is that they don't come with the castle nut, cotter pin, or the lock nut for the inner tie rod. No biggie, but I wish I would have paid attention to that when I put my order in so I could add them to my cart. Might have to hit up AFHKparts

Also got my 2.5" PLM 4 piece test pipe. It's 2.5" O.D. which is fine with me. I plan to have a pretty restricted exhaust setup. I'm old, I don't want to hear s**t out my exhaust.

The end piece on the right is actually the extension from the K-Tuned Ram header. The slip fit between the two was perfect. Actually took a small effort to get them together, so I'm glad about that fitment.

The dark section inside is actually just a shadow from the angle I was shooting at. The transitions from piece to piece is pretty smooth, especially for such a cheap piece.

Gotta have some K swap motivation on the desktop

Still waiting on my steering rack to come in. I bought it from a user on Ebay. They've had a couple hundred transactions and 100% review, but I haven't heard anything since the 12th so I'm a bit worried. I normally don't buy anything off of ebay.

Some ebayers don't contact you after you have bought their items. Have you contacted them at all? Some that I have dealt with didn't even include a tracking number it just showed up at my doorstep.

That's strange. I recently ordered a set and they did come with castle nuts and cotter pins.

There are some parts you just can't beat OEM for.
