I'm pretty sure that's why he's asking if the wiring is the same. I'm not 100% sure but I'd be willing to bet it's pretty close, close enough that you could figure it out at least.The DIY is for a 5th generation Civic. You have a 6th generation Civic.
Do you have any car electrical or SRS experience? Can you read circuit diagrams? If so, get the 96-00 Civic service manual. What you wish to accomplish can be done and is similar, but NOT IDENTICAL to what's described at the link because some wires and connectors are different. You need to identify the correct connectors and wires for your EM1.yea i have a 6th gen civic and i just want to make sure it will work because i dont want to wire it up and all of a sudden my pass air bag goes off....if you know what i mean
