1997 Honda Civic HX B16A Swap are B16A engines good there are cheaper i see i only want 300 hp but i wantto swap my sohc .1.6 any ideas can i do it for cheap i have 1700 to 2000 bucks to spend

You wont be making 300hp unless you turbo a b16a which will cost your budget anyway.

Low boost on a b16 wont hit 300whp either. Lol. Expect mid to low 200s or build the internals and then push more boost to hit 300.

Stock longblock b16s holding 300whp, naw. Dyno queen, yeah, but not reliably. Also, like you said it wont be cheap, cheap is one of the OPs expectations, therefore 300whp goes out the window.

All a lot of people care about is what it will make once on the dyno rather than what its street tuned for. I get a feeling OP is one of these people
