That's horrible. I made as much as you in high school and there are tons of jobs that pay more and don't even require a diploma or a drug test

Admittedly, I have been offered a few good paying jobs. I've been being picky. The main one I keep thinking back to is cell tower climbing. That job offer still stands. Damn good money, just a lot of time on the road and heights from hell.
it's mostly the ridiculous heights to be honest. I'm open to suggestions though.

Everything I've heard from every cook I've met says no to culinary school. Most culinary schools cost more than you make in a year at a good cooks job. The restaurant business has a high turnover rate. It's similar to wanting to be a professional athlete. There are cooks that make great money, like Gordon ramsey, emeril lagasse, bobby flay, etc. But it requires insane talent. I enjoy cooking, and I believe I am a good cook, but I'm not talented enough to be a head chef at an international hotel, or a Michelin started restaurant, which is where I would need to work. Lol
I have been wanting so see about getting a job involving firearms. Gunsmith doesn't sound like something I want, but I may look into it. I'm leaning more towards private security. Not mall cop s**t, more like armed escorts, high profile client type work.
I mean think about it, it's a stretch but it's something I've always been interested in. I had considered law enforcement but one, I can't get over being a hypocrite and enforcing laws that I don't agree with; like arresting a teenager for simple possession of marijuana. And two, I have pretty serious hearing loss in my right ear. I have a surgery coming up to fix part of it, but it may still not be up to police or military standards. I have a friend in private security and his company doesn't do a hearing test when hiring. So there's that..
I don't mind taking certain risks, and I hate to sound choosy or picky, but I just really don't think I could handle the heights. Some of the jobs that interest me the most are dangerous. Police, military, fire, security, etc. If I can have a gun on my side to help protect me from those dangers, I'll feel better, more in control. May sound weird but that's just me :/
Got about 3 inches of snow over here. We had some friends over for fondue last night, and Matt and I had to push a Prius taxi up the hill by my apartment

We had a huge storm last week but it's been clear for a few days...starting to snow today though -_______-.
I walked out of my apartment this morning to leave for work and someone decided it would be a good idea to go too fast and slide up and onto the middle of the giant snow pile in the center of the driveway. I wish I took a pic.
I made plans with a friend to go out on Valentine's Day. I haven't gone out for Valentine's Day in YEARS... It's gonna be fun

My car's suspension has been clunking a lot lately and it's making me worried. Granted it clunks every winter when it gets really cold but I think one of the clunks (in the front) is a loose lower ball joint or something that needs to be fixed.

I've been alright. Still loving my apartment lol. Work is going okay. Definitely getting lonely. I REALLY want to start to settle down with a girl so I gotta get on that. I have been hanging out with people (even girls! lol) lately though so at least I'm being social.
