Hello, just joined the forum today.
I had grown up drivign muscle cars, and big displacement cars (not counting when i was in a MKV GTI for a little bit...)and for the last years have been driving a wrangler. I finally got fed up with the gas mileage and traded it in for a 1996 civic DX Hatchback on saturday, which should get more than double what i was getting in the jeep.

So far i'm loving the civic, it's stock and very clean i was surprised at how well it's been kept. It has some quirks that need to be addressed(like the door not wanting to unlock, some kind of whistling noise when going >60MPH, and some squeaks in the rear hatch area lol), but nothing unexpected for something it's age.

i look forward to getting info from here and getting the most out of my civic.

Welcome welcome.

You'll find a lot of good information for your car here, no matter what route you plan to go with it.

You can throw a thread up in tech for help on issues with the door and the squeak. My 96 CX used to make all sorts of noises in the rear. I had a full sized spare in the back which was not secured down, so that would squeak often. Also my cargo cover made a weird squeak noise as it didn't fasten down perfectly. Also when my rear seats weren't latched, they would make a squeak or something from just moving around a little.

Anyway, enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the welcome. And yeah, one of the clips on the cargo cover is broken, so that may be what is squeaking back there, i'll have to check that out.

Any future plans for her, or just fixing the issues and keeping it stock?

Might lower it a little bit, and i wouldn't mind some nicer seats. Not planning on any engine swaps, unless someone drops a b series in my lap lol.
