Ej1 stalled out doin 87 down the highway lights stayed on

So on the way to the hospital this morning my car decided to stall out but everything else was on all my power and everything no cel and wouldn't let me give it any gas when I hit the pedal but slowed down a little and it started rite up on its own and ran fine just took it out to go get breakfast after sleepin on a hospital floor cuz my girls having our kid and it ran fine I'm thinking fuel problem where it wouldn't let me give it gas or anything and didn't load up and backfire when it finally kicked back on any ideas would be a great help my pump works I can hear it prime and everything when I turn the key on but I don't kno if it cut out when I was driving

Test the coil and igniter unit.

Does the CEL work?

Yea check engine light works just had the light come on for my vss the other day and comes on when I first key the car to start in Comes on for about 5 seconds while the pump primes then goes off and ok I'll check that out but wouldn't it ignite the gas that was being pumped into the motor once it does fire back up? It did this a couple weeks ago but I knew what that was cuz the whole car shut down lights and everything so I checked the alternator and was dead and battery was dead so got new alternator and new battery and has ran fine but I was kinda bushing her this morning cuz my girls in labor but it's wired it's like if I got over 87 cuz I have a digi speedo in my radar and it happened twice rite at 87 could it be anything else u can think of besides the coil I. The distributor?

It's called an intermittent problem.

Test coil and igniter unit.

Also resolder the main relay.

Yea sorry about that . Kinda trying to have a baby, and fix my car haha but ok I will check the relay and coil

Ok so had my kid awesome experience checked my spark have good white spark so when I get a chance I will resolder that relay is there anyway u can tell if it's screwed or just resolder it and give it a go

Yea the pump primes and everything it will run fine just sometimes I stalls out and I can't give it gas but wait a few seconds while goin down the road and it will start back up on its own that's y I think it has something to do with my fuel I'm gonna change the filter anyway cuz I'm not sure the last time it was done not sure I'm gonna solder the relay anyways cuz it's a common problem so I'll get that outta the way and the filter I'm gonna check my wires that run to my pump to see if any of them are chaffed or anything it's just wired cuz it don't happen til I'm cranking on it goin above 80 like it has a govener and shuts off and kicks back on when it slows down a little

Checking for the pump priming and for spark at the plugs only yields useful information when the engine won't start.

The link I posted shows you how to inspect the main relay solder joints.

Souds like the fuel filter is clogged. cheap and easy fix. should be service every 80,000kms during regular tune up. when the motor demands more fuel there isn't enough pressure,

Yea that's kinda what I've been thinking. Gonna solder and do a little work on it today now I got my boy home and stuff and gotta polish up one of my equips and take some baby pics too hahahahah born a gear head haha
