Well Civic still isn't running. All because I lost 7 of my ARP head stud washers and I had to go to TACOMA yesterday for them. So smart, pissed off me took the motorcycle in the pouring rain for an hour ride there and hour ride back. I was soaked. And mad. So the Civic is ready to go. I just need to put the axles and exhaust on, and put the fluids in. But I was super bummed out that it wasn't done...

Work now. Irritated that my Integra has a 1/4 inch of standing water in it.

I had some water still sitting in the bottom of my backwash valve apparently, and the pipe froze and split.... so confident we wont be getting back into the freezing temps anymore this year, I installed a new backwash valve and replaced a few pipes.

Don't know if these pictures will be visible or not, sharing from google. This is a test, more than anything... some people use instagram/facebook... I use Google+

Yes, I know it's messy back there.... after my daughter was born last year, I let the weeds get the better of me.

Does anyone have a picture of or know how a civic DX brake caliper is suppose to be? I think mine might be split.? Here's a pic. My caliper moves as it's 2 parts and the top moves differently than the bottom of the caliper...? The upper piece is seperated from the rest?

I don't understand what my problem is, My wheel has play all the way around, But it only moves the ammount that the brake caliper moves where it looks split. From everything i've googled those calipers are made that way. Why the f*** would they make a caliper so weak that the wheel can be moved like that? Somethings wrong and I can't find it or that's one weak ass caliper that should have never been made. I can't find my problem...? At first I thought it was my wheel bearings, But after jacking up the car and inspecting more it only moves the amount of the caliper play.

Found my lug nut key finally, Took off the wheel and checked it some more. So the stock calipers are clearly weak as hell but that isn't the problem. It is actually the wheel bearing which was my first though. Going to upgrade calipers next time I need new pads/rotors. Probably a wilwood kit, For now i'll go back to original plan, New wheel bearings, extended studs, set of lug nuts, and a rear disc conversion

So listen to this s***. My girls name is Jess, and her brothers name is "R". So you know how I got this job offer at longhorns right? Well, "r" text me around that same time. He's the general manager at my work, and is responsible for scheduling. My usual day off is Wednesday. He asked me if I would be fine being off on Tuesday or Thursday because he needed off Tuesday. I told him that was fine with me but I may need him to stay late for me one day or possibly cover a shift because I might have a job interview sometime next week. I figured I owed him the courtesy of giving him a heads up. He asked me how serious of an opportunity this was, I sent him a screenshot of the conversation between me and the longhorns manager that wants me on. I told him that was all I knew. This was around 7:30 Wednesday night. I didn't tell my boss about this because 1, I didn't think it was that serious, and 2, his grandmother had passed away that morning. Well I talked to him the following morning, on Thursday, less than 24 hours after finding out about this potential job opportunity, and "r" had gone around me and talked to "b" (boss) himself. He told "b" that I was definitely leaving and he was sure of it, and that we needed to work on finding another night shift manager to replace me. So I find out this morning that "b" has apparently promised someone the position because he was sure I had the job. Though he never talked to me directly about it before trying to replace me. So now, if I don't get this job, I will be losing my position as shift manager, and go back to a regular employee making close to minimum wage, compared to the 9 an hour I make now. All because my boss took the word of the general manager's ASSUMPTION! I'm f***ing livid, and I can't say a damn thing because "r" is my f***ing brother in law.
Dude, regardless of what you said to your brother-in-law, that was a shithead move on his end. My policy has, and always will be, never tell anyone until you're in for sure. Don't tell them about your interview, don't give them a heads up, nothing. People will f**k your s**t up if they know they can get an upper hand. It sucks, but it's true. Blow em away at that interview, and nail that job. You need out of your current job bad, man. They're taking advantage of you.

Calipers are always two parts, but they shouldn't move independently of one another. If you can't figure it out, throw it in a tech/help thread, and someone like the mighty RonJ will help you diagnose the issue.

A Perfect Circle and Puscifer are playing at the Greek Theater here in LA, and I'm not gonna be able to see them. f**k. Tickets sold out so friggin quick.. major bummed. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg (and a nut) to scalp tickets off of StubHub.
