Its funny because I'm trying to get a job at the local Honda dealership so I can get my work experience for ASE and stop being broke.

I honestly don't know where else to go. Unless I go to like Monroe or meineke. But I need something full time over the summer and for when I graduate.

Thats not the way it works though. Ive worked at dealerships and bought and sold tons of cars in my life. You dont put a price and then refuse to negotiate.

Everyone knows you list high so you have some room to make a deal.

Say you have a car that you want to get $10,000 for. You would list it at $11,500 and most likely end up getting $10,500 but you understand how s**t works. I get the dealer fees and taxes bullshit.

Thing is is i know the people who had the car before and i know what they got for it on trade. Its just weird to me that they had a guaranteed sale and wouldnt drop $900. f**k that place.

Lost my job today :whiner:

Apparently the place is heading to bankruptcy, so it's best to lay of the only IT guy in the company while everyone works on Server 2000 networks, 10/100 connections on Celeron XP machines (I was currently upgrading).
That sucks man, sorry to hear. But damn that company must be going down the shitter if they're still rocking 2000 server and XP machines.

Damn. Yeah makes perfect sense how you described it. You should have a buddy go and show interest in that vehicle. Have him offer the same thing. See what happens.

If they're still running xp in an enterprise environment they're gonna get a big surprise pretty soon here...

I thought the same thing until I started with Porsche. We cant move off the sticker. Porsche tells you what you can sell for and what you get from the sale. We get fined or they drop allocations if we mess with the price and they find out.

*edit* Just reread your post. You are looking at used. Nevermind. Used is free game for pricing depending on what they want out of the vehicle.

Maybe they didnt want to do a cash deal? Some dealers are weird. We have gotten plenty of customers because the dealer up north from us wouldnt do a cash deal.

Yup. We have a handful of XP users here still. I'd say maybe 20 out of 500+. And they're in our remote offices, like Sarnia. I don't even know where the f**k Sarnia is haha. All I know is that it's in Canada, most likely next to Narnia.

Thats a great idea. If nothing else just to piss them off lol.

But we r going to denver this weekend and ive compiled a list of 10 acuras to look at. 5 private party and 5 dealer cars. Would way rather buy private party for price reasons.

Thats what it seemed like. I dont want to finance but i would. Just dont want a payment. I could easily finance and just pay off the loan. I realize thats not good for credit, but whatever. Free and clear car is better right now. So we continue to browse...

Been at work since 6 with nothing to do so I've been making a parts list to build a b20v. Anyone have experience with ls/b20 vtec? Ordering a b20 from HMO in a few weeks then I'll be buying parts

Im running a 84.5x81 LSV but have upgraded internals, treat it like any other LSV setup and you'll be fine.

Venting aside, maybe looking at an engineering job with my buddy doing fuel systems for corporate sized backup generators. Like Freedom Tower and Google data center sized backup generators. Pretty much no idea what I'm doing, but I think I adapt well
Dude.. That sucks. Sorry to hear..

Went to an Intel / Dell / VMWare / Cisco vendor conference thing for work today. It was pretty good. Free lunch and dinner, did a handon lab with configuring VSphere. Ended with a shootout for NCAA tickets to the Syracuse game this Sat in Buffalo. And then beer. Not a bad work day haha.

Then went home and played Titanfall and Mario Bros U. :thumbs up
VSphere/Virtualization is my friend. I'm going to attempt a business of my own, and virtualization is going to be the backbone of it.

Listened. New stuff (All My Fault) is much, much better than their old stuff. Very radio rock. Makes me nostalgic for my old band :( haha

I just forced my company to upgrade (unfortunately, to Windows 8, but I've learned to deal with it). They are insurmountably happier, and management is like ":D :D :D PRODUCTIVITY THO"

Job security. in all seriousness though it's not as bad as people make it out to be, and it's absolutely wonderful with system resources. but i haven't dealt with it in an enterprise environment, so i guess you would know better on that part lol.
