New to club civic- got an ek

Hey everyone! New here, just picked up a 2000 civic cx hatch (ek) for 500 and loving it!

Couple questions,
How hard is it to change the throttle cable?
Is it expensive to fix the rear quarter panel rust?
And I used to be a euro person but now I can absolutely see why you kids love your Hondas! They are great cars!

Throttle cable not that hard. Fixing rust on quarter panel how bad is it. Could you just sand it off and repaint or has it eaten through.

One side can be Sanded te other quarter has a 3" hole. It hurts to see her in this state

get on that rust asap man, asap. take to a body shop and make sure it never ever comes back again, rust proof the inside of the wheel well.

The car was rust proofed. It's just the quarters. Is there anyone on here that I could send some cash to do it? And I can't take it to a shop yet it's not insured till February. It's parked outside till then sadly. Once I get it home I'm gonna cut all the rust out so at least it won't continue

Can fix it the right way or the cheap way. The right way will cost more money. The cheap way is bondo. You could do it yourself.

Long story short I ended up cutting put quarters and fixing. Then not to long ago engine went so gave shell to my friend and got a 97 Ek hatch

Damn man, that sucks. Won't lie, I like the color better on the last one. Mostly because I had the same red hatch and wished it was anything else.
