So I know I'm looking at 5th-6th gens, but what are the 7th gens like?

Just as reliable? I read a few places the automatics are junk, is this true or just smack talk from manual trans lovers lol.

search is over. brought home my new to me car today.

And its not a civic lol. None of the civics were working out in terms of price/value, so i started looking at other cheap used cars with decent MPG. and since im a ford guy, was looking at the mk1 focus.

came home with a 2004 zx3 focus with 70k miles on the clock. paid $4,000 and it got 30 MPG on the drive home in -5 temps with snow, ice, and an inch of slush on the road.

More then happy.

Congrats on ending the search. If you are happy that is all that matters. Personally, I hate those things, but then again I am not and never will be a Ford guy.

haha i love the little bugger. always have been a ford guy so it makes sense im in another ford now. peppy engine, nice 5 speed stick.

the styling i didnt like at first, but its growing on me.

hopefully one day its something like this.
