I'm a lightweight and I just started drinking, so it's gonna take me awhile to get there.

Yeah, that's about the only upside. I just saw them (they were out here last week), though, so the trip feels kind of like a waste. s**t has been getting weird between us, though. Going to address it today, and if she doesn't shape up, she's done.



Ouch! I've run over a parking block in some of my older (lower) cars haha. It sucks.


House rule: if you pass out while drinking with your shoes on, you will be drawn on.

Absinthe is over-rated. I've had Mansinthe, and some Czech Republic stuff. Neither is good.

Another day in paradise today. Blegh.

I think the exhaust pipe took all the damage, but still it pisses me off beyond belief. One time I ran over a parking stop because I was half asleep.

For the house rule about the shoes that's exactly why my friends got written. It's because they weren't planning to sleep with their shoes on.

That's the s*** I don't like. lol. Don't draw on me when I'm impaired. I've never had a car bomb.

I can't wait till next year. Living off campus is gonna be a blast.

Anyways, cleaned the garage up today. Threw out a bunch of useless s***. Found some side moldings for an eg civic. They look iffy. Also filled out the application for my house for school next year. Just need to get my $200 deposit back from the school so I can pay my security deposit.

I actually preferred living ON campus, just not in the dorms. Reason being, I never had to worry about rides home, the off-campus parties were generally walking distance, and I could walk home from class, drink a few beers, and go back to class and not have to worry. Our campus is "dry", though very lenient. Even the parties we threw would get campo called sometimes, but we never got in trouble other than "be a little quieter, and don't make us come back with the Sheriffs." I rather deal with campo than popo

Our fraternity had a formal on Sat. I'm alum but I still went -- open bar. Had a gin & tonic race with a friend to see how many we could throw down during the open portion. I lost 10-9

Yeah, the older I get, the more I have to tame it down haha. I reeeeealllly feel hangovers now, although I've learned how to prevent them (see: drink friggin water when you're getting hammered). For every 2 drinks I have, I'll drink a full glass of water. My roommate will feel like death the following day, and I wake up ready to do it all over again

Yeah man. I'm just not a fan of absinthe. It was all hype. We even had a friend smuggle some in from Sweden. Just tasted like anise (black licorice).

Although I had horrible issues out of my Jetta. I would own a GTI in a heartbeat.

i had a MKV GTI, had some electrical issues and heatsoak like a b***h during the summer. it was fun though, and the interior and options put honda to shame.

would i ever own another one? No, but i'd lease one.

Everyone I know that has one doesn't have issues until they get into big turbo stuff. I would go for it, tdi would be sweet but they aren't cheap

The GTI's are awesome. TDI would be great, but as Tig said, they are very pricey. The interior/options/performance is in a completely different league than Honda.

I have an MKIV R32. Different gen and motor. But I say do it. When I bought my 04 back in 08 I was looking at getting a brand new GTI but went with the R32 instead since I knew the seller. Lethal might be able she shed more light on them but I would do it if given the chance. Think they are new enough to not have all the electrical issues VW typically have.

I would like to go the certified pre owned route and opt for the extended warranty. I start my new job on the 14th so it really all depends on how much I'm bringing in but it's looking good.
