Hey everyone,

I have just recently bought a Honda Civic Si 2000 (Canadian version). I want to know some modifications i could do. Like say lights, stereo, intake, wheels etc.. I have done car tuning/modding but on trucks(4x4). I want the car to look clean and sexy when parked if you know what i mean. ;)

230 XXX KM
Black
5 Speed
Stock
127 hp
vtec engine 1.6L

Some pictures
Front

back and side

Engine(don't mind the coke can)

First Trip. Beach Day!!!

Part 2

Car is not covered in dirt anymore.

The car is not in bad condition's minus the scratches and 1 dent besides that its a great car.

It doesn't look too bad. What are you looking to do with it?

Thanks.
I want to start off with some small mods and work my way up to some bigger mods. Was thinking stuff like fog lights, front lip, HID head lights, some LEDs inside, speakers(no subs) deck, shift nob and the boot for it.

I think you have your HP rating way off. More like 127 hp.
Looks good though. Looks like a clean slate to start out with.

No problem. If I were you I would clean the bay up and make it look brand new. Replace rusted bolts/brackets..atleast paint yhr brackets. A clean looking bay tells a lot about how an owner cares for his/her car. What I personally do is use a can of wd40 and spray a bit on the area you want to clean. Use a brush (I use a paint brush about 2-3" wide) and clean it that way. Then wipe with a rag and move on to the next section.

*Update*

Lowered it almost 3 inches
Changed the shift boot to a "Crown Royal" one
Cleaned the engine and the bay and also the trunk
Redid the black side trims (back to black)

Thinking about getting Tinted windows but not 100%
might get a bike rack as well, and a bigger exhaust system.

Wheels Rota slipstream's (black) or kosei k1 (black or white) I can get either of them for the same price just not sure what would look better.

Anyone think that projector lights would look better then HIDs?
Planning on getting blue day time lights.

black out the white strip on my tail lights? or leave them?

okay thanks.

I think you are misunderstanding what projectors and H.I.D.s are. Projector is the type of HOUSING while H.I.D. is the type of BULB. H.I.D.s should ONLY go into a projector style housing. Please don't put them in your stock ones. It blinds the hell out of oncoming drivers because they weren't meant to go in a housing meant for a halogen bulb. If you are going to do it, do it right and do a retrofit with proper projectors that are meant for H.I.D..

My opinion on the blue lights...don't. It's illegal and it's ricey.

Oh, okay thanks.
Well then what kind of lights should i get?

I'm putting in blue LED lights inside of my car (under the dash, trunk area, and under the front seats)
Painting my steely's black now since the weathers been getting better.
I'm getting a new front bumper mine has a small crack on the bottom of it. Would a lip cover it?

*Update*
I have got new MTX speakers, 2 12 inch Alpine subs and a new deck. (sounds great beside my spoiler is now riddling. How to fix?)

Just throwing it out there for the taillights, in my opinion it looks way better if you leave the white and tint the red but not TOO dark, dark enough to tell they're definitely tinted but not so dark you get pulled over, if you get me

Yeah I get what your trying to say. I'm leaving them how they are until the summer, since I have been having bad weather.

Updates on my car
-Removed the spoiler (guy I bought it off did a bad job on putting it on and drilling the holes and didn't even set up the break light with it)
-Removed my Sub woofer and Amp.(Gave them away at a house party when I was drunk)
-Removed the Civic badge. (I might take of the Si or leave it on)
-Fixed the hole in my exhaust.
-Shampooed the inside (big mistake it got dirty a few days later)

A few questions I have
1. Is it me or do 6 Gen civic gas gauge like drop when cursing?
2. My night time lights are miss lined up? When i drive in the dark the passenger lights seems brighter then the drivers. I did buy new lights bulbs from Honda so its not the lights.
3. My head valve cover has a striped bolt, do i have to buy a new head or what?
4. How dark can you have your back windows tinted?
5. Wheres a good place to shop for wheels and tires? for cheap
6. Front bra worth it? to cover the bumper and the hood?

Thank.

lol at giving your sub away.

1. Yes, especially when turning to the right.
2. Is the passenger headlight dirty / hazy?
3. Nah, shouldn't have to. Try sticking a screwdriver underneath the head of the bolt and pry upwards while turning it. You can try a helicoil too.
4. Depends on your local laws. In the States, each state is different.
5. Search locally, check Tire Rack and Discount Tire online.
6. Wish I had one on my Acura, rock chips everywhere. From the previous owner though. My Civic never had any issues though.

Okay thanks.

The front headlights have been clean with a restore kit and the headlight bulbs are brand new from Honda them self. I think they might be just out of line. How to check?

I found out I can go limo black on my back windows (XXX) Where I live its legal to go that dark.

My girlfriends dad owns a paint and bodywork shop and he said he will only charge me for labor work, not the paint or bodywork. So I want to know now is what color would look better.
-Frost White
-Electric Blue
-Red
-Gun Shell
-Glossy Black
OR (Top) Half (Bottom) Half
-Two tone Black and Red
-Two tone White and Red
-Two tone White and Blue

Which one?? I like the color Gun Shell, I have not seen it done out where I'm from. I also like the two tone Black and Red. (Seen it on a newer civic and it looked sick as F* )

Racing seats? (would that rice out my car?) Or prelude seats?(I like there bucket design) Is their other seats that would look good in my civic?

Where can i get strut bars for the front and back, and how much will it cost me?

Not sure about the headlights honestly. You can aim them, just not sure how as I've never done it. Also I love dark tint, so go for it!

If you don't want rice, don't do two tone IMO. Strut bars can be found with a google search, or even here at the ClubCivic store!

The gas gauge is totally normal in my experience, if my gas gets below about half a tank it'll go down when I get on the gas and come back up again later lol
Tint, I'd say don't go too dark because besides being a cop magnet it just makes life hard.
Two tone I'd also stay away from, but I just sorta think it looks dumb >.>
My car is the 99-00 clover green pearl and I love it, but I'm thinking about painting (or maybe plastidipping?) it gunmetal
Stripped bolt, meet your maker
As for seats, I personally think racing seats are bit much in a civic, because I mean, honestly, they're just not fast cars. Fun cars, sure, they can corner alright, but they'll understeer into a wall long before you'll need the grip of racing seats. I've got the stock leather seats from a '97 prelude and they're great. Best part about them is that the seat rails just swapped right over.

Keep in mind all this is just my two bits, you can take it or leave it as you will, either way, you must post pictures of what you do ;)
