Bad ISB?

First off, I am a girl, so bare with me. I bought my Civic last week. It is a 2000 EX with 180k on it. Immaculate for the mileage. I did not notice the noise when I first test drove the car, but after getting it home and looking it over, I have noticed a noise. It will make the grinding/spinning noise when the car is running in neutral or when you are in any gear taking off, but will quit as soon as you push the clutch in. I am pretty mechanically inclined for a girl, and could do this repair with the help of my dad. However, I am completely lost about civcs. I have owned Talons, Mustangs and 4Runners. I am wanting to go ahead and replace the clutch while I am doing this just so I know its good and wont have to worry about it for a while. My ? is, what all do I need as far as in parts? I know I will of course need a new ISB, and a clutch kit. Would you replace the flywheel as well or keep one that is there? What gaskets will I need? Tranny fluid? Would any other bearings need to be replaced? and where is the best place to buy these parts at? I read something about Honda bond..is it that important to get that vs. a different brand that say AutoZone or advance carries? I have already found an article on how to replace it, just stuck on what parts I need? Also, what is a good clutch? It is stock car, minus air intake and exhaust, as far as I can tell. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks ahead of time!

If it goes away when you push in the clutch isnt that usually a throw out bearing? Also if I was to crack open a manual tranny to replace the isb I would also check and maybe replace the CSB and also inspect the shift forks

Do you not have a honda dealership near you?

Oem clutch kit is just fine for a stock vehicle.

I would resurface the flywheel at the very least. You need a fresh surface.

There are only a handful of bearings in the MT, unless it ran low on oil the rest of them should be ok. The mainshaft bearing will seem really loose when you split the case but thats normal.

Yes.
If it starts making noise when the pedal is pushed in thats the pilot bearing.

I believe the throw out bearing makes noise when you push in, on the clutch. That's how it's always been for me anyhow.

Nope the TOB is engaged against the pressure plate when you depress (push) the pedal, creating the highest amount of load against the ball bearings, resulting in the loudest noise it's gonna make.
