What Honda do I have

I am new to the tuner side of the fence and was wondering what does all the eg ej ek and stuff mean what is mine I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe Sorry this was supposed to go under 5th Gen but if ya have the answer help lol

Post the first 6 digits of your VIN. You probably have an EJ1.

Does the vin tell you cause mine says ej2 in the first half. So i assume i have an ej2 its a 93 civic dx

Yes it's in the vin, hence why op was asked to post the first 6 of the vin. EJ2 is a dx coupe.

True, for the PC side of the site. Unfortunately, the high majority of members are on the site through mobile devices and are here through apps like Tapatalk. There is no "civic specs" on tapatalk, nor is there signatures or the store links. Justin is working on the mobile side of the site, hopefully this is one of the things that will be included.

Ohhhhh updates!!! Love it! I'm mobile as well, but I've always viewed it via the net, so I don't miss anything. It's always those little details!

I think he meant in "JDM" terms. Like those who think they have an EK because that's the JDM model, when in reality they have an EJ6 or something. You're right though...

Also OP, I don't think there's going to be many EGs or EKs here in the states, especially none built in the US or Canada...

The terms are thrown around as a reference really to the chassis type. "EF" is 4th gen, "EG" is 5th, "EK" is 6th. To say "EJ" are one or the other is also wrong. I had an EJ6 as my first Honda -> 96 CX, EJ1 which was a 95 DX, and now an EJ8 which is a 00 EX.

Now we are getting into technicalities and this is technically incorrect. U.S. market del sol is an EG as is U.S. market 5th gen sedans.
