My real point was:
It's overly complicated. Why isn't the process as simple as a copy-paste of the link?

The short and sweet is...because embedding video code isn't a copy/paste type of procedure. Linking an img that is just a picture is one thing (the forum can read and interpret the code without direction), but you are talking about posting a video that needs to play without some sort of native player already in the forum code. You have to bring the player from an outside source (eg: youtube) and tell the forum how to run it.
I don't know how to put it in relating terms. My communication skills don't normally translate geek into automotive language, even though I am fluent in both.

Stuff happens. I need a career change anyways. Not even longevity is saving me. Certainly not my work performance was the cause. Being positive and optimistic for the future helps.
Worse comes to worse there are thousands of part-time jobs available right now.Even the crapiest one's help, but once you get that crap job and you continue applying for something better, chances of getting the real job you want are somewhat higher. Always have to keep the cycle going every 3-5 years it seems.
The good thing that my dad told me, is that someone bought them out and there is a possibility of being hired through the new people sometime in August. just a possibility. but it keeps the hope alive.

This happened to me. I worked for a company that supplied medical accessories for Medicare and it was a small company. They lost a couple major bids and ended up having to close shop and sell to a larger firm that eats up these smaller companies that cannot self-sustain. I was told I would be offered a position for IT with the new company after the transition period. That never came. It was a sad time.
Less than a week later I found a job with a HUGE aerospace company doing the same crap, way better pay and currently my medical is free. So f**k that medical firm.
Even if for some reason it doesn't work out the way they say it will, it doesn't mean there's not something bigger and better waiting for you around the bend. Good luck man.
