Working 8-4 today and helping my brother move back in after work. Also ordered my exhaust before work and its already on its way. Estimated for Monday. Don't see why. Its shipping from upstate new York. I could literally drive out there now and pick it up and bring it home before 9.

Yup. Express line. $9/hr for now. And I can work on my breaks home from school. When I graduate, I can move up possibly.

:word:

Not to sound like a d**k but you've done a complete turnaround. You used to refuse to do your own troubleshooting but now here you are doing all kinds of stuff. School has been a huge improvement for you. Happy for you man.

None taken. I grew up. And realized sitting around is no fun. I also have less baggage now. No girlfriend that sucked my time away.

These things are incredible though. Sure they're not rare like a Ferrari F40 is rare, but they're a huge part of import "muscle" history. I'd absolutely drop 20gs on one if I had the money. But not everyone sees things the same. I'd buy one over a Skyline or building a Civic, etc. That's just me...
Oh don't get me wrong! A 2JZ TT Supra was my dream car (aside from the R34 GTR VSPEC II Skyline, but yeah haha). I would still own one if I got ahold of one under $20k in good condition with moderate mileage. That's next to impossible now, due to their scarcity (here, anyway).

That's awesome! I had no idea :D
Thanks man! It has been a very, very long time (last time I competed, I was 16 years old), but it was a large part of my life. It's like riding a bike, you really don't forget, you just get out of shape

Sorry to clutter the thread but I want multiple peoples opinions on this.

What do you suggest for beginner basics? I've done my fair share of scrapping, but nothing organized. Karate seems to be geared towards kids around here. One gym I found actually had signs on their window highlighting the benefits of their classes and they said stuff like "learn respect for adults"
Well you have two options here: Tradition with history, or self defense and technique emphasis. Karate, or any form of martial arts that is backed by history and values, will instill discipline, self-respect, and character development as well as self defense. If you are wanting to get more involved in the actual martial arts lifestyle (which is really cool, let me tell you), a GOOD dojo with a reputation for their tradition would be what I would recommend. Do some googling in your area for high rated dojos, talk to the senseis (preferably the head instructor) and ask their background, how long they've been into their art etc. You will pique the interest of whomever you ask those questions to, as well (so long as they are passionate and professional about their art).
If you're more interested in an MMA studio, there should be a lot of those. They will focus 100% on technique, skill and physique. You'll get nothing but self-defense (or offense, since those guys train for the cage), but man you can go beast mode in those gyms. They WILL get you ripped if you dedicate the time/patience to it.
If you go with a traditional studio, I think you'll really enjoy it. Don't feel weird signing up with a Karate studio. I know it seems strange, but I was teaching 4 adult classes throughout the day when I was 15. Those dudes were the most dedicated, and responded the best. Many of them went on to fight cage!

I forget that supras are even rare anymore. There are 3-4 at the shop at all time minimum lol and shelves of 2jz engines lol and a guy I know has three

2jzs aren't rare at all (the engines). Everyone wrecks Supras, so the swaps get pulled all over the place. The cars, on the other hand (in tact) are rare. Much more so now than they were even 5 years ago. The GTR sparked the "Japanese Supercar" interest again.

Buy an rx7 ;)

I would totally pick up a mid-90's RX7! TT Rotary? Yes friggin PLEASE.

Attah boy. Find the right woman that supports your hobbies/habbits. Mine could care less about cars, but knows I love them, and respects/supports it.

I've struck out on the last 3 in a row with the batshit-crazy-with-no-way-of-hiding-it types

Work was slow, decided to save them some labor and come home instead.
So it's eat some wings, finish 6F6F, then get back to studying for FL real estate test, then haircut and go out tonight
