i have a quick question... i have a 97' ex and i just changed the spark plugs and found oil on the bottom part of of the plugs and was wandering what could have caused it....i searched on here already and couldnt find the answer to my problem...i read that it could be the valve cover seals that can cause that but i didnt think that it would cause oil to leak on the bottom part of the spark plug but i could be wrong as well... if anyone could help me out that would be great thank you

If you're talking about oil where the spark is generated, you likely have an issue with your piston rings or valves.

If you talking about oil near the bottom around the threads, it's your seals which is super easy and cheap.

crash!

Cool I took the cover off and one of the spark plug seals was ripped....when I took the spark plug out it had oil on the threads and top part where the spark plug wires connect to so hopefully that solves the problem

Yea, that's just bad plug gaskets. If it was on the spark end, would be a totally different tune. Good find, good luck.
