When my ex worked there they would just make her take an extra long lunch for how long she was over

Just went to go look at a couple houses.
One is in a gated community, and the gate douche wouldn't allow it
The other is WAY out in the boonies and nope.

Sounds like Aramark too. Either long breaks, or sometimes they'd bring you back to 40 and move the excess to the next week and just have you work less.

Yep, but good luck getting anyone to either admit they do it or getting a hold of anyone in Philly to look up the time scheduling records.

Hated that s***, I was scheduled for 40 and the new director came in and immediately she and I hated each other.
So I went from never taking a break, which Aramark says I should unless I just can't, so she forced me to and I still ended up usually working on my break due to people not knowing what they're doing or getting hassled by her "what are you doing", umm im on break


I left on a Friday, and the following Wednesday they were already contacting me looking for phone numbers because they ran out of product.
I figured those kind of screw-ups wouldn't happen until fall, they surprised me. Can't wait to hear how bad it is in the next few weeks when school gets back and they actually get busy

It hurts like a b***h. Can't move my arms without it pulling and hurting or since I got home ooze a bit. Luckily I wear undershirts and mostly black/dark shirts. I'm going to see if I can work from home some this week until it heals enough where I can comfortably wear a shirt

Oh your the fartmart dude, okay heres some pointers I work overnights at store based on stuff that goes down in my area.

1. Overtime becareful with this company there has been times where if you work over 40 they will take those extras hours and roll over them to the next week and to make sure u dont get over time they'll give you an extra day off to make sure the next weeks extra hours turn into normal pay hours. Becareful getting lots of overtime because they will cut your hours immediately if you start to get too much allowed overtime.

2. 3 call ins is allowed within a 6 month period the fourth time u call in u get coached (walmartese for a write up u get called into the managers office and get b****ed at) when you get coached you get stuck in the position your at and cant be promoted up at all till a year has passed from your coaching.

3. Assistants and cos purposely will not communicate well which means if someone approves something or ask you to do something and another tells u to do something else your stuck in a bind and this has lead to a bunch of unfair insubordination coachings at our store.

4. When holidays come up this company does a dirty thing where they hire a bunch of seasonal employees to work most of the bulk of the holidays they do this because seasonal employees do not get holiday pay at all so regular part timers and full timers will have their hours cutt because they can so u get like a four hour shift while the seasonal gets a 12 hour shift because itll be cheaper to work that poor guy then to pay u holiday pay.

5. Becareful of cliques this company gets a reputation for extreme unfairness its true at my store people who are in cliques with ams get the perks of calling in 3x more (one women has called in like 15 times in a period of six months and she is a ok I get scolded for calling in to be an emergency babysitter and i have only called in once). I understand kissing ass is somewhat helpful but the idea of it being a high school clique atmosphere is really s***ty and like cliques the thing is when those group of friends decide to oust someone out they most likely wont be working any longer.

6. Be safe even it you can get in trouble for not finishing a task at least you'll be tired not hurt. An example is I do furniture and some of the stuff we sell is very heavy big ass tables, heavy mirrors and whole entertainment centers anything over fifty lbs requires a team lift nope I have to do that all bymyself and when i once ask for help doing 16 foot pools i was told not to be a girl by our comanager (I got this recorded and happily sent it to home office). I say becareful because once a friend of mine tried doing 24 inch pools by himself and he dislocated his shoulder because theyre too freaking heavy and it turns out he told me that he ask for help and management told him no. The comanager who told me the girl remark changed his tune because ho coached him for that. Be safe no matter what!

7. I know the job market is tough but I recommend looking for another place to work be happy you have a job though congrats and hang in there the turnover rate at our store is high 3.5 out of 4 employees leave within 3 months of getting hired.

Hope you get cleared man!

Walmart hasn't been too bad lately. I feel like a lot of the bs is store specific. Everyone here seems pretty genuine. Time will tell though.
