Car already has 7,000 miles on it. Said his two other Aventador's are the real daily drivers, so that should be something to see. And his Pagani is currently at the NY house, should be back soon

At least you know something is wrong. Was following the girlfriend to the rental place, her in the rental, me in her '00 EX. Grind into 4th, hmm, weird. Hard going into 5th, what the hell. 65mph on the highway, revvs go up like crazy, popped out. Grinds like b***h going back in, pops out. Stop like wtf. Taking off, grinding 2nd, 3rd, 4th, won't go into 5th. Ask her, how long has this been happening? "Month or so.." "Ok, AND?!" "I don't know, what's wrong with it?" *facepalm*Turns out my right rear wheel bearing is on its way, yay
Finally after three months I just have to sign a paper at a notary and mail my title for the accident I had.
They are giving me 3400 for my integra so that will be a good chunk down on a new daily. Just not sure what that daily will be yet exactly.

If you take pictures and take the shaft assemblies out as one whole, it's not that hard.At least you know something is wrong. Now her car is sitting in the garage in pieces. I got an S40 B000 trans for it already, the upper mount plate is pretty much stuck on the donor trans. I guess the threads broke and one bolt was tapped and a larger bolt was threaded in and the other one is still cracked and won't tighten all the way.
What do you think the odds are, that I could pull the casing, swap gears over to a not busted casing, and put it all back together and make it work, with 0 prior transmission experience?
Really? I was thinking I would need feeler gauges to make everything precise, yadda yadda. It's clear to me synchros are shot to hell. Her gear housing is fine. When I got under to look, the casing that the bolts to the engine, has a piece missing where a bolt goes through. So I'd have to use the donor casing there, her original gear housing, then swap all of the gearing over to that housing and hope I don't fck something upIf you take pictures and take the shaft assemblies out as one whole, it's not that hard.
