Interesting convo tonight

Haven't had any probs drunk driving. Not saying I condone it, I don't, but it's happened.
I am surprised about one instance though. Ex told me I argued with her outside the club about being good to drive, and somehow I drove us across town to the house with no problem. Got upstairs and passed out while she made me some soup.

I do not recall a single bit of that night, but damnit I said I could drive home and I did
Random but whatever

Woke up hungover. Went to a church thing that one of our friends kids was in. Then breakfast with my girls. Now waiting on the boy to get home so we can go Christmas shopping.

Really wanted to weld today but the weather is shitty...

Have a buyer coming by tomorrow for the van, that's pretty much a guaranteed sale.
Relisted Civic on CL, had a prospect in 30 minutes. Should be swinging by tomorrow to look at it and hopefully leave with it.
Listed the Spoon kevlar spark plug cover & brand new tonneau cover for the S, prefer not to part with the SPC but money talks.

Tomorrow, adding the SRX, some van seats, desks, display cases, and whatever else in the storage unit that can be discarded. Finally getting around to this.
Also moving stuff into the new office so I can shift some of this operation out of the house and *try* to avoid distractions, but internet is the worst one to begin with.

For now, g/f is on her way back to FL from Clemson and I'm trying to knock out 2-3 modules in this RE course.

Thanks dude! Actually just got back home from celebrating. Had some family fly down for my graduation and we all stayed at a nice resort over here. So glad to be done with school!

Chris - sure I do. I haven't posted much as I've been busy finishing the dissertation / teaching classes.

So what you got planned job wise to pay back that 100 years of schooling?

My loans actually aren't too terrible. I had a 75% scholarship for my bachelor's degree and my parents saved up some money that helped me with the rest. I took out a loan for my first semester of graduate school, but then I was able to find jobs that paid for my schooling. That said, I've got a little under $20k to pay back. Not cheap, but I've seen a lot worse. I've been offered a 6 month position as a visiting professor at my university (combination of research and teaching) and I'm applying for a permanent position thereafter (assistant professor). If that works out, I'll be in the clear!

That's not bad at all! I had double that when I graduated with my bachelors.

And congrats again dude, I'm sure it feels amazing to finally be done with school!

Where's female Alex? I know she's scared of debt. I'm right there with her. I want to go to college someday but I'd like to pay my way through while working. Is that basically impossible? Night school, online classes, etc.

It's definitely possible. I got my associates degree in Comp Sci at my community college while working two jobs (totaling about full time employment). I took night classes and a couple online courses that fit well around my work schedules.

Once I went to RIT and started going for my bachelors I was only working at most 20 hours a week.
