That's not bad at all! I had double that when I graduated with my bachelors.

And congrats again dude, I'm sure it feels amazing to finally be done with school!
Thanks man! It feels incredible.

I worked 40 hours / week during my PhD. It was.... challenging.

That's the thing, in in class every day 8-2, and that's just my automotive classes. I have other evening classes as well.

If you have the drive it can be done. Living off of 4 hours or less of sleep per night is doable...

I know, I'm just choosing to enjoy my college experience, and deal with it later.

In college now getting my BA and working ~50 hours a week and my dad is working just as much and is getting his masters. It's doable.

We have no choice; can't just let the bills and family suffer because we can't sack up.

Paying a lot as I go, can pay more if I wanted but chose not to for now. Will owe just a bit more than $20k when I am all done.

Also insanely unhealthy. People don't realize how important sleep is. Most people think lack of sleep "doesn't effect them"... it does. It's actually very bad for your memory, amongst other things. With that being said, mixing school and work pretty much guarantees less sleep. It's all about finding the least-shitty schedule, and having good time management skills.

I know, I'm just choosing to enjoy my college experience, and deal with it later.
That's what I did, other than a little part time work for some extra beer money lol.

I never said it was good for you. Ive lived on a schedule like that for years. It is not healthy at all and i can notice different things with my body. But for a 4 year college it is doable to come out damn near debt free.

You can still find time to sleep on off days and such.

Oh it's definitely doable. First semester of my community college I had class 8-12, job #1 12:30-4:30, job #2 5-8 or 10 or 1am depending on if I was working the rush, late, or close shift at Dominos. And then work Sat and Sun 4pm-2am. So glad that only lasted a semester. I failed my first and only class during this time though. Damn Engineering Physics.

Still don't have my paycheck.. Thanks USPS
It's not their fault that millions of EXTRA packages are shipped this time of year. NEVER rely on them or any other carrier this time of year. Were you born yesterday?

Was talking to the fedex driver the other day, the one that drops at work and he said that he has been delivering until about 9 o'clock every night. That day he has 190 stops with over 400 packages.

Dude, don't take it so personally. Cary talks to everyone like that. He's always been brutally honest. You didn't specify that the reason your check was coming in the mail was because your employer ignored your typical method of direct deposit. I think it was a safe assumption.

Where's female Alex? I know she's scared of debt. I'm right there with her. I want to go to college someday but I'd like to pay my way through while working. Is that basically impossible? Night school, online classes, etc.
Another thing you can do is find a job that offers tuition reimbursement. I have absolutely no school loans with a Bachelors and Masters. Work paid for 80% of tuition. The catch is if I leave within 2 years of graduating I have to pay it all back. Still not a bad deal though. Basically free money.
