Power Window Problem

Hi, I recently bought a 1997 Civic EX. The drivers side window just recently decided to stop working on me. If I attempt to lower it, I hear a grinding noise but that's about it. The glass tends to partially slide down on its own. However, I have made it so it doesn't do that anymore. Since the weather is getting warmer here in PA I figured I should look into repairing this. Does anyone have an idea where I should start? Thanks

well, take off the door panel. see if the rubber channels are crudded up and clean those. make sure the window can move up and down with your hand guiding it.

Once cleaned, I used some sexy silicone lube on all the rubber so that it slides in the track.

try that and see what happens.

and when i say sexy silicone lube, I mean the one you put on your rod.. not the stuff from an auto parts store.
