94 civic speaker help

I have a 94 Honda civic lx....I want to replace the door and rear speakers....I took a front and rear out they are both the same...I measured them and my tape reads 6" I googled it and alls I'm seeing is 6.5" common sense tells me to buy 6" speakers to reinstall... Right?

It may be a 6" diameter speaker hole, but you need to factor in mounting them...
6.5's all the way around.

6.5 inch speakers will be the correct size. You may want to play it safe and get shallow mount speakers up front. I forget if there's sufficient mounting depth on those Civics.

The doors will fit a standard sized 6.5 round speaker. Just redid the fronts in my hatch so I have fresh info lol
