Honda Civic Build

Hello, so I am going to start by saying I am a complete Audi guy and dont know much about how the Honda's are build. What I an thinking about doing is buying a 1995- 2000 Honda and making it a sleeper. What model is best for doing this? Id rather stick to a civic, accord, or CRX (but I am open to other ideas). Also for any suggestion it would be sweet if you could mention stock horse power and compression ratios.
Thanks!

welcome to the forum. You have some researching to do, my friend. I'd start with the top of the page, where it says "Civic Specs". Has the stock specs you're looking for

Welcome to the forums and the world of honda. CRX stopped production in 91.

96-00 is the 6th generation of Honda Civic which has a very wide range of aftermarket support for your build. Personally, my favorite generation.

If you want a sleeper, you are going to want to turbo or swap the engine or both. The original engine (d-series) in most civics is not built for speed. I recommend reading through some various builds and researching engine options before you take any steps. There are quite a few engine options through these cars.

"Best" sleeper is very relative. If you mean a model that would be least expected to be a performance car, then a Civic sedan with a K-swap would definitely be a surpriser. Honda coupes and hatches are very commonly modified so they wouldnt be much of a shocker. That is unless you leave a model looking relatively stock by appearance with a killer engine. Check out member Childs build thread. Now thats a sleeper and (un)arguably the best build on the forum with heavy attention to detail. You may get some ideas from that build. You do have plenty of research ahead of you.

something like an accord wagon would be less common.
