New here & could use help with wheels for 00 civic LX

Hey all, so new to CC as well as doing anything to cars. (Just been watching videos since before I had a car). I got a 00' civic LX sedan, all stock, and wanted to see if anyone could tell me anything about what would fit. I'm pretty dead set on getting Diamond SC Steelies 15x7-8 (depending on what may fit), and want to know what offset I'd be best with to keep them flush; whatever won't hit the suspension. Also the best options for tires (stretched or not).

Note, im not changing camber at all, will just lower it enough to close the monster truck gap ha.

Any idea if 15x8's with 0 or 10 offset would work? With 185/50-15's?

0 or 10 offset is going to fit like garbage and look terrible on a car that isn't set up for it.

I would recommend to google a tire/wheel fitment calculator and do some number crunching.

Stock wheels are like +40 mm offset, trying to fit even +20mm is going to take a decent amount of work. My buddy bought a 00 s3dan with wide low offset wheels and the car is ruined because of the wheels. The rear quarter panel metal has a rolled lip from the wheels hitting and causing the metal to form around the wheels

Oh wow.. Just checked earlier and yea stock is +45 offset. Soo, I'm guessing I'd have to stick around 30 or higher ha. Know of any wheels with a similar look to Diamond Steelies? Like without spokes, and the higher offset.

With a normal fender roll I fit a 15x8 0 offset with no problem . Here's an old pic before I spaced them out View attachment 26232
Oh nice, thanks for the pic. Do you know if there is any difference in wheel fitment between your EX and the LX? (Being a coupe, and mine a sedan) Also, what size tires on those?? Looks great.

I'd still be getting 15x7 and not lowering quite as much as that, so I'm assuming it'd be perfect.

If there's any difference it would be more space than the coupe for sure. It's 195/45r15. You'll be fine running 15x7

Seeing that picture with some fender rolling and 15x8's makes it seem to me that I could get 15x7's to fit with some rolling as well.
How would it look like garbage?

see how much camber this dude is running, it looks like s**t and is going to eat up tires and handle like s**t. get proper sized wheels with the correct offsets so you can have a proper functioning alignment, use a dremel to cut out the lip in the wheel well on the rear and let the front roll itself (at least thats what i did)

Well then any idea on the lowest offset I could go with before having to change the camber or do too much rolling? And what do you mean by let it roll itself? Sorry for all the extra questions ha

Where's your race car civic at? I hope it's perfect in everyone's eyes and is a beast on the track

No race car and it damn sure isn't perfect but I don't follow stupid trends that can be potentially dangerous. I like low cars and I like speed and handling but I'm damn sure not cutting my my tires contact patch in half but running stupid amounts of camber. I have nothing against a little functional camber but the only function yours provides is to go lower, I ran -4 degrees camber (natural from lowering 4 inches) on my hx coupe and always thought it looked kind of dumb, once it was aligned it looked a million times better and handled better to.

My car is dumped on function and form type 2, I have a turbo d16y8 making 222whp 177tq and a pretty good looking sedan. My car is functional, if you want to check it out be my guest it's in my signature

lmfao. Your car is a "pretty good looking sedan" to yourself, not everyone. No one was talking about my current set up. We are discussing a question a member had regarding fitting 15x7's. I have my prelude that's my functional car lowered on type 1's. People like you are the ones that make me laugh and continue motivating me to make this car more ridiculous. -4 and it was handling like s**t? Lol. I'm at -14 and will be -20 soon so more haters like yourself can go out of their way to base their opinion lol. Move along

Congrats on following the stupid stance trend, have fun hard parking.

Edit: I think he's upset either he deleted his posts, deleted his account or got banned lol
