Civic won't start, stumped!

Hey everyone, I have a 95 civic ex, 5 speed manual with 293k miles and only an intake . It has stopped running and I have tried everything that i could think of but can't get it to start more than once in the same day.

I have changed out the fuel pump, fuel filter, new main relay, new distributor , new plugs and wires, I have tried another ecu as well and nothing! It starts up once and I turn it off and then it just cranks, and smells like gas. I have checked for spark but no spark, I am completely stumped! Anyone's help would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Where did you get the distributor?
Does it fire right up, or does it struggle when it does start.
What are the circumstances of it start just once then not again.
How well does it run when it does run.

I bought the distributor from Autozone. When it first starts up it sputters and shakes for a bit and then stabilizes itself , then it runs fine, once I turn it off again, it won't start again, it just cranks.

Well like I tell everyone, ditch that distributor and get an OEM one.
Cases like this are usually bad main relays, so if you are 100% sure your is fine maybe check your grounds? Maybe some of the areas they are bolted to are flexing and they don't have a good connection. Keep googling it that no start after driving s**t happens a lot.

I'll check my grounds tomorrow morning, I haven't checked that yet. Thanks!

So I checked my grounds, they all looked fine. I saw on another site that I googled someone else with the same problems. They actually had a rubber grommet missing on the clutch pedal to a switch, I checked mine and it was missing too. I place an upholstery plastic retainer in it for now, but it did the trick! It starts up every time now. Thanks for all the help!
