05 Civic LX Really Bad Mpg

I filled up my 05 Civic Lx and I got about 70 miles on half the tank I dont floor it and changed spark plugs? Help I haven't gotten this low before but my full tank has gotten about 250 miles the most since I've gotten it

What brand and octane do you use?
Did you buy pre-gapped plugs or gap them yourself?
Does your car have any other issues?
Is your Check-engine light on or have you had the car scanned?
What rims are on the car? Are the tires inflated properly?

Auto , 89 ,pre, no, no light, haven't had it scanned, and they're the stock rims just different brand Tires but same tire size

I'd recommend a tune-up. Fuel filter, check the spark plugs, plug wires, inspect dizzy cap & rotor, oil change if it's been awhile... Run some fuel injector cleaner through the system. How's the air filter look? Also, might want to look into testing a new primary o2 sensor, as bad sensor can still function (no CEL) but provide the ECU with wack readings which could hinder your MPG.

Your gonna have to tell us more if you want much help. Is this the first tank of gas since changing the spark plugs? Did you reset the ecu after changing them? What brand and kind were they? ( copper, platinum, iridium...)
How long have you had the car? How far is your average trip? Does the car seem a bit sluggish or slow down fairly fast when you let off the gas?
Does your check engine light actually work?

No cap, no rotor, no wires, no replaceable fuel filter on this car and he just did spark plugs but yes, check your air filter. When was your last engine oil change and your last trans oil change?

No cap, no rotor, no wires, no replaceable fuel filter on this car and he just did spark plugs but yes, check your air filter. When was your last engine oil change and your last trans oil change?

Whoops. I naturally think of 6th gens when troubleshooting. But my buddy replaced his fuel filter in his 04 EX so it has to be replaceable.

Oh? Where is it? As far as i have been able to find the only filter is the sock on the fuel pump. Ive looked for one, asked online and thats all i have found. Im considering installing a different fuel filter somewhere because to not have one seems dumb but it looks like it would be a royal pain.

the filter is inside the gas tank along with the sock pre-filter so yes its a pain to replace. but im guessing the major issue is the primary oxygen sensor they get dirty fast and they wont throw a cell unless there's a complete failure. also stop using 89 premium gas that will give you worse mpg only use regular 87 or lower octane thats what these cars are designed for.

89 is our low grade here... we have 89, 91, 93. It's unavoidable sometimes haha. Though some places have 87, the place I go to does not, not that it matters for me anyways.
